Jazwares is offering a new wave of their popular Fortnite Legendary Series 6″ figures, including Galaxy, Beef Boss, Sentinel and Ruin. Sentinel is a robot based character and pays homage to Tallgeese from Gundam Wing. The character also has a head sculpt designed to look more like a chicken, otherwise known as the Gundam Robot Chicken. He also has a Dark style that is different than this version, and has more of a sleek black Japanese samurai type style.

Sentinel is packaged on a window box with a blister card in the back. The window is seen on the front and sides, his accessories, and around it is artwork including logos, character design from the game, and the back showcases the character with other offerings below him.
Sentinel features a great figure sculpt and captures the likeness of the character very well, with great attention to detail. The sculpt conveys that manga mech look to perfection with the sharp edges and panel lines, and feels reminiscent of a Gundam Wing robots as if were merged with a rooster for a head. The character has a very distinct design and it works well for this game. The figure is painted with a pearlescent white on the body, with some metallic gold and red for details, with some parts in black.
His accessories are also nicely done, especially the backpack, which as wings, and these can swivel up or down, and painted in the same pearlescent white, gold and red deco. The wings make it look as if the character could fly, which only adds to the already great design. He also has a shotgun, a machine gun pistol, a shield potion vial, a pickaxe, and a bottle. The shotgun is familiar, and it seems that it wasn’t designed for Sentinel to hold it properly, as the wrist articulation can only swivel, and because there is no hinge joint he can only hold it in a few positions such as at the hips. The potion vial is cast in a nice translucent plastic that sells the idea of a glass container well. It has a little hole in the back for the thumb to help the figure hold it.
The articulation includes a swivel-hinged head, ball hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel wrists, hinged fingers, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball hinged hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles, and hinged toes.
Overall, Sentinel is an excellent figure and a great character to add to your collection. The overall design and deco is astonishing and we love homages in this line. Jazwares continues to offer such great Fortnite characters and the quality of the figures are superb. What is also great about this line is that collectors have been buying these just because these are great toys, even if they never played the Fortnite game.
