The 80’s Popular Boglins Puppets Make Return From Original Co-Creator

Last year, one of the original creators of Boglins, Timothy Clarke, brought Boglins to Kickstarter that ultimately saw a successful funding even during the global pandemic. Boglins were introduced between 1987 – 1989, and were manufactured by Mattel. Timothy had joined Mattel after having spent time working for the Jim Hanson Company, and he created these along with Maureen Trotto. Boglins are rubber hand puppets that they created to get kids into puppetry, which included opening mouths after placing your hand inside them by using a mechanism inside each one.

These new Boglins take after their 80’s counterparts, and come in the original size and cage that you would remember. Since the Kickstarter saw funding, news has been slow on these, but now you can pre-order on BigBadToyStore for the original Kickstarter prices of $39.99 each, and we have an estimated release of August 2021.

There are 6 different characters listing for the pre-order, including:

  • Dark Lord Clown
  • Dark Lord Bog-O-Bones
  • Dark Lord Blobkin
  • King Dword
  • King Drool
  • King Vlobb

What is missing are some of the Kickstarter offerings, including the Golden editions of the Kings, and tee-shirts.
