Mattel’s Masters of the Universe: Origins Fang-Or figure will be available exclusively at Mattel Creations beginning August 8, 2023 at 9 am PST, and is priced at $20. Fang-Or and Lady Slither are highly demanded characters amongst fans that were created while Masters of the Universe Classics was in full swing. Fang-Or is the engineer for the Snake Men, and features interchangeable fangs.

Fang-Or comes in a brown shipping box with artwork of the characters on both sides, along with logo’s for Masters of the Universe and Mattel at the bottom. Inside, he is packaged on a blister card with a plastic tray, which is inspired from the vintage 1980’s toyline. The blister back can be lifted up and removed so there is no need to cut around the edge and remove the plastic to open, which in my opinion is a better way to offer exclusives such as this. This resealable package allows you to open without creating any damage in the opening process, which makes it easier. Inside, the mini-comic is behind him, and Fang-Or is packaged in a plastic tray along with his accessories.
Fang-Or makes his debut in Origins and comes in a burgundy and metallic gold snake armor, with two dark green snakes around his shoulders. The belt buckle also has the Snake Men symbol, and the lion cloth is painted in a dark beige. The skin tone is also a dark green that is in the same shade as the snakes on the armor, with sculpted grooves to make the skin look like realistic.
Fang-Or includes a mini-comic (this is opened page by page in the video above), two interchangeable fangs, a curved sword and a wrench.
The long fangs can be used as knives, as it specifies in the official description by Mattel. He can hold it in either of his hands, but it is loose fitting.
With the fangs removed, it leaves him toothless with an open mouth. The curved sword is cast in dark gray plastic with a shine, and the wrench is metallic gold and in the shape of a snake.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Fang-Or fits in nicely with the overall style and design of Origins, and as it’s Year of the Snake Men, he fits in great for this years theme.
Overall, Fang-Or looks great and will be of interest to fans and collectors that have been requesting him. He fills the void to bolster the ranks of the Snake Men and you should add him to your collection.
