Man-At-Arms is part of the New Eternia subline in Masterverse, which pays tribute to the characters 80’s designs, and he comes in his classic green suit, with orange armor, with a blue belt with a red jewel, due and orange helmet, blue wrist band, and dark grey. There is also some copper on the chest part of the armor highlighting some of the details, including the swords on the shoulders. Some parts of the figure are given some sculpted texture, including the tree, and dark grey shorts that are made of a soft plastic around the hips.
He comes with two head sculpts, one with a mustache, and one without, and both of the helmets can be removed and are interchangeable.
Also including is his mace, a ball and chain interchangeable part for the handle of the mace, two sets of interchangeable armor (closed fisted and open grip), and the two head sculpts with two interchangeable helmets. The chest and arm pieces of the armor are also removable.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head and neck, ball-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbow, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, swivel knees, double hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
The mace is his most iconic weapon of choice, and comes in a light copper, with a metallic top. This can be placed in either of the open grip hands, or stored on his back.
The ball and chain attachment is interchangeable with the top of the mace, and this is the first-time he’s given an accessory like this. This is definitely in-character for him, and would also be a surprise for enemies on the battlefield!
Most of the armor, incdluign the helmet is removable, and you’re left with the green suit. and headpiece.
Comparing him to what has come before, this is a new take on the character from what we’ve seen in both Masterverse and Masters of the Universe Classics. While the armor and colors are similar, it’s an all-new sculpt and you can see the differences. This is a comparison with Revelation Man-At-Arms, Classics Man-At-Arms, Classics (with Battle Ram) Man-At-Arms, and Classics Filmation Man-At-Arms.
Overall, Man-At-Arms is an excellent figure that fans are sure to love. There is some great attention to detail on the sculpt, and that ball with chain part for the mace is just one of those accessories that you need for this character. The two head sculpts give you the option of how to display him as fans are split between the mustache and normal heads, so by giving him both options you don’t have to settle for one. This is definitely a great modern Man-At-Arms figure that you should get for your toy shelf. You can find him and additional Masterverse figures now at BigBadToyStore. by clicking HERE!
