Hasbro’s latest wave of G.I. Joe Classified figures is a strong one, and includes Quick Kick, Techno-Viper, Big Boa, Franklin Airborne Talltree, as well as Retro carded Duke, Recondo, and Scarlett. Big Boa is inspired from his 1987 figure offered in O-ring sytyle, and is offered in 6″ scale for the first-time.
Cobra troopers can be an unruly bunch at times. They aren’t motivated by patriotism, unit loyalty, honor or sense of duty. It takes a brutal, unfeeling taskmaster to whip them into fighting form and Big Boa fits the bill to a tee. He has a voice like a bullhorn, fists the size of frozen turkeys and the disposition of a rabid grizzly bear.

Big Boa is packaged in the standard G.I. Joe Classified window box, with artwork and logo’s on the front, sides and an image of the figure on the back.
Big Boa is inspired from his 1987 O-ring 3 3/4″ figure and features an all-new head and for the first-time you can see what he looks like under the helmet, as well as a new helmet, hands, torso, harness, crotch, boots, and dumbbells that are unique to this figure. He comes in his red harness with metallic silver and it has spikes sticking up, a red and metallic silver crotch, dark blue pants, black and red boots, and bloodied knuckles with dark grey bandages.
The head sculpts are impressive, and the unhelmeted one you see his missing teeth as he’s obviously had one to many blows to the head. The helmeted sculpt is what we had back in 1987 and up until this point it’s the only head that has ever come with Big Boa. This is painted in beige, red, metallic silver and brown, with an orange visor.
Included with Big Boa is a helmet head sculpt, 2 dumbbells, and boxing gloves.
The boxing gloves have the Cobra logo in black on top, and they are in a dark red and a light grey. The piece that fits over the wrist is separate and supposed to look as though it’s part of the glove.
He is fully articulated and includes a ball jointed head and neck, butterfly shoulders, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, ball jointed waist, waist rotation, ball joined hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Big Boa is a great figure that fans are going to love. He is a great update to the 1987 character design and fans are surely going to love him. The likeness and attention to detail look great, and he comes with some essential accessories that are perfect for him. Make sure to pick him up and other G.I.
