This Hot Wheels Batman set is packaged in a yellow slipcover with a Batman logo on the front, Long Live The Bat on the side, and a description.
The set itself is packaged in a window box, with the year and series/film that Batman and the Batmobile are based off of below it. On the side is a description of each of the Batmobile’s. To remove the Batmobile and Batman from the tray, you’re going to want to down the flaps down at the bottom and lift them up, which would then lift the plastic and the Batmobile will be easily removed. Batman however will take a bit of patience, as the base is securely placed in the plastic, and you’re going to want to use your finger to pop it out, rather than trying to lift him out of the plastic.
Batman is made of plastic and stands on a small black base and each comes in his iconic batsuit, along with a logo, utility belt, and cowl.
Batman 1966 Adam West Batman was the first version of the character to make a television series. His Batmobile was originally a concept car that was purchased for $1, and has become one of the most memorable and recognizable cars in history.
Batman 1989 starred Michael Keaton, and measures almost 20 feet long making it the longest Batmobile. Micheal Keaton also just repriced his role as Batman in 2023’s The Flash movie.
Batman: The Animated Series first aired in 1992 and has become the most memorable Batman cartoons ever. In the series, his Batmobile features dispensing oil and tear has, wheel slashing hubcaps, rooftop missile rack, and ejector seats.
Batman Forever 1995 was given a new look for the Batsuit, Batmobile and even a new actor. The film starred Val Kilmer, and the Batmobile resembles a flying bat, and includes a custom chassis and a powerful 350 ZZ3 engine.
Batman Begins 2005 renamed the Batmobile as the “Tumblr” and this was a tank in the movie. The film starred Christian Bale as Batman, and the Tumblr has a custom chassis and a 500 horsepower V8 engine.
The Batman 2022 starred Robert Pattinson, and we were given a new Batmobile with a 700 horsepower engine. A rear mounted engine and wide body exterior style provided a more intimidating look, while roll cages were added for extra protection during stunts.
Overall, this is an excellent set and truly something special for San Diego Comic-Con. Each of these Batman and Batmobile are memorable in their own right, a deserve the recognition in a set like this. Unfortunately, it’s sold out, so you’re going to have to go to eBay.
