Playmates Toys Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles WWE Raphael As The Rock 6″ Figure Review

Playmates Toys shown off the second wave of their popular Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles WWE crossover figures at this years New York ToyFair, which includes new variants of the four brothers. This new wave includes Leonardo as Finn Balor, Donatello as Ultimate Warrior, Michelangelo as Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Raphael as The Rock.

As announced back at NYTF, this wave will be available at most retailers, and won’t be limited to just Wal-Mart Stores. As seen in the first wave, the assortment is a mix of classic WWE Wrestling Superstars, as well as some of today’s stars. Raphael has been crossed over with two modern legends so far, with Sting as seen in wave 1, and now The Rock. Both characters are great choices for Raphael as they both share his bad boy side. Raphael’s signature sais are replaced with accessories for The Rock, which includes a WWE title belt, microphone, and pair of dumbbells.

Thank you to Playmates Toys for providing their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles WWE Raphael As The Rock 6″ Figure for review.

Availability: June 2017

Raphael as The Rock stands at slightly over 6″ tall and depicts the likeness of what Raphael would look like as if he were dressed as the WWE Wrestler The Rock. The figures sculpt is unique compared to the other figures in the wave, including the last waves Raphael as Sting. Raph’s head sculpt has a great likeness to both characters, which include The Rock’s raised eye brow, Raph’s head and red mask.

The body has a great likeness to Raphael as well as The Rock’s outfit, which includes a turtle shell and chest underneath The Rock’s black shirt, brown turtle belt sculpted over the shirt, and the words The Rock painted on the lower portion of the shirt. There is also a cow shaped head painted in white on the upper part of the shirt. The Rock’s costume looks great on the sculpt, which also includes the black knee and elbow pads, black shoes, and tattoos are both shoulders. There is also Raph’s white bandages sculpted around his wrist and fingers.

Raphael comes with three accessories, which are all wrestling based and not necessary specific to The Rock. Included is a title belt that can wrap around his waist (this is similar to the one released in the last wave), a microphone, and a pair of dumbbells. The belt and microphone have stickers on them such as the WWE logo, and the microphone has a Turtles sticker and a WWE logo on 2/4 sides. The dumbbells are a nice touch for the character, which have a sewer lid texture and design on the flat surface.

Overall, this is great likeness to both Raphael as The Rock, and Playmates Toys once again did a fantastic job creating this figure. Look for the figure to ship sometime in June 2017, and you can pre-order the set of 4 at the stores listed below:
