Supergirl stands at over 6 3/4″ tall and features the likeness of Actress Melissa Benoist. The figure is incredibly detailed, and makes a great representative of the character. The head sculpt looks beautiful, and the blonde hair with a black wash highlight the grooves between the layers looks fantastic. The blue shirt has a texture that brings out the detail of the shirt. The “S” logo is sculpted over the shirt, and is painted in a smooth red and yellow deco. The shirt and skirt are divided by a gold belt that is the shape of a V, and goes around her waist. The skirt and cape are made of a soft plastic, with the skirt being a bit more of a harder plastic, and the cape much more soft. The legs are nicely detailed with texture, which is different than the shirt, but still accurate to the show. The boots are painted in red, with a black wash, and have the thin red lines on the back also as it appears on the show. The designers went to great lengths to offer something that is as show accurate as possible, and they have succeeded and surpassed expectations.
The articulation on her is pretty much what fans should be used too from DC Collectibles, which includes a ball jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel joint just below the bicep, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles. Included with Supergirl are three sets of interchangeable hand sculpts. What is missing however is the extra head sculpt originally seen in the solicitation.
Martian Manhunter stands at 7″ tall and depicts the likeness as seen in the Supergirl television series. The head sculpt looks completely alien, as it should, and the designers have captured the likeness extremely well. The grooves, cheekbones, and linework on the head and facial details look incredible, from the red eyes to the shape the head, there is no denying that this is J’onn J’onzz. The details on the outfit are also extremely well done, including the lines on the outfit, the red X on the shirt, the orange circles on the shoulders painted on the metallic blue part of the cape that covers the shoulders, with the soft plastic cape attached to it on the back. There is also additional deco on the suit, which includes some gold on the belt, arms and belt. On the upper back painted over the blue metallic part of the cape is some additional orange and gold deco.
The articulation is what you would expect of DC Collectibles, which includes ball jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed chest, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
