Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ Marvel Knights MCU Punisher Figure Review

Hasbro has finally given what fans have been clamoring for since the arrival of Netflix’s Marvel series, branded as the Marvel Knights series with a Man Thing as the build-a-figure.  The series includes MCU Daredevil, MCU Punisher, MCU Jessica Jones, MCU Elektra, Blade and Bullseye; all packed with a piece to build a hulking sized Man Thing.

Frank Castle a.k.a the Punisher, played by Jon Bernthal, makes his MCU debut in season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil. Frank Castle, a former Lieutenant in the Marines, returns to his family after his time in Iraq. Castle takes his family to Central Park for a family outing when they get caught in a mob fight where his family is killed and he survived despite being shot in the head. Castle becomes the Punisher and he’s only motivation is to avenge his family in the most extreme way possible.

Punisher debuted in The Amazing Spider-Man #129 (February 1974) and made his MCU debut in season 2 of Netflix’s Daredevil. The figure stands 6.5″  and is based off his MCU appearance, wearing a black trench coat.

Punisher comes with his black trench coat which is removable (minus the sleeves). He’s wearing black body armor with his iconic white skull painted on it, dark grey pants and boots. Most of the paint applications are used on the figures head and chest, which has been excuted flawlessly, the only other paint app is to his belt which is painted black. As far as I can tell this is 100% an all new sculpt. Jon Bernthal likeness is a perfect match to the actor, Hasbro really has stepped up on this figure. The Punisher came with 2 guns which fit in his hand perfectly. He is also packed with the left arm of the Man Thing as his build-a-figure piece

Punisher has all the standard articulation Marvel Legends are known for. His articulation includes a ball jointed disc hinged neck, ball jointed shoulders, bicep swivel, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed chest, waist swivel, ball jointed hips with limited range of motion, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, and swivel-hinged ankles.

Punisher is hands down the best figure in the wave, I can find no flaw with him at all. He truly is a piece of art. Hasbro really hit the ball out of the park with this one. Trying to make a comparison with the old cinematic Toybiz figure would just be unfair, and that was a decent figure for it’s time. Whether a hardcore fan or just a causal fan this figure is worth the pickup.
