The  First Order Judicial Stormtrooper is based on his appearance as seen in the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi, also known as the eighth film in the trilogy. The First Order is the military of the newly formed Galactic Empire after the fall of Darth Vader and Darth Sidious, and were given newly designed but similar armor, along with newly designed helmets. The armor is essentially the same as the legions of Stormtroopers under the Officers command, and the Judicial Stormtrooper has added black deco on the shoulder pads, black stripe on the right side of the helmet, and additional black deco on the top sides of the armor, that makes the chest piece look more like a vest. This stormtrooper comes with the electro-baton-wielding riot control weapon, that was first seen in The Force Awakens when Finn fought this foe. The figure is made mostly out of die cast, with some plastic parts that include his helmet, hands, belt, feet, and electro-baton weapon. The black parts of the upper torso armor are also made of plastic, as well as the belt. The armor is painted in white, with the black trims and detail throughout the armor and blaster.

The Stormtrooper Officer’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, hinged and swivel shoulders, hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, hinged knees, and ball-hinged ankles. Included with the Judicial Stormtrooper is a electro-baton and logo figure base. The figure is prone to falling off the base, as the plastic feet have difficulty standing this heavy die cast figure.

Overall, the Judicial Stormtrooper is an excellent figure, and a great additions to the Disney Store die cast figure line.
