Diamond Select Toys have cancelled their planned Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Series 1 Classic Minimates that was originally slated for release this month. This assortment is based on the retro 1980’s and 1990’s animated series, and included Shredder, Donatello, Leonardo, Bebop, April O’Neil, a Foot Soldier, and Casey Jones.

At this time, these Minimates are not coming, and the reason we were given is because retailer orders were not high enough to cover production costs. This doesn’t mean that Diamond Select Toys hasn’t give up, as they are in the process of exploring alternate forms of distribution. As of right now, there is no information as to when or if these will see release, but given the popularity of this show and these characters, it’s very likely that they will indeed see release at some point in the future. We will update once we know more.
