Disney is offering a new line of Marvel, Star Wars and Toy Story/Pixar figures that is inspired in an animated style. These new figures are part of the Disney Toy Box offerings, and are re-engineered and articulated to resemble the Disney Infinite video game designs. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.
The first wave includes Kylo Ren, Rey, and a First Order Stormtrooper for Star Wars. Disney will be offering new characters each month exclusively at the Disney Store.
For Marvel, the first wave includes Hulk, Iron Man and Thor, and Disney/Pixar they are offering Buzz Lightyear, Woody and Jessie from Toy Story. Look for new characters to be released each month. Each figure is priced at $12.95 each, and stands between 5-6″ tall.

Disney Infinite was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness. The first wave available from Star Wars include The Force Awakens characters of Kylo Ren, Rey, and a First Order Stormtrooper. Each figure in this assortment stands between 5-6″ tall, and features bulky and animated inspired sculpts as seen in the game.
Kylo Ren stands at 5-1/4″ tall and is sculpted in his black outfit and robe as seen in the game as well as The Force Awakens. As this is an animated inspired figure, The likeness is more based on the game than the film. The figure uses all plastic parts, and the hood and cape are separately sculpted pieces fitting loosely on the body. The capes hanging down over the legs and back are made of soft plastic, and can be raised. The mask and lightsaber includes the silver deco, as seen in the game and film. The arms have a pattern that gives it come texture, which can also be found around the hips and boots. His left hand sculpt is designed to look as if he is using the force, and the right hand can hold the lightsaber. Included with Kylo Ren is his red lightsaber.
He is fully articulated, which includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, waist rotation, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Rey stands at almost 4-3/4″ tall and is sculpted in her beige and brown outfit. The beige parts around his body are made of a soft plastic that is placed over the sculpt, as opposed to the grey shirt and dark beige pants that are sculpted on. Wrapped around her waist is a brown belt with a light brown pouch sculpted to to it. Her arms are wrapped in beige bandages, and on the left wrist is a brown wrist band. The left hand sculpt is open handed as if she is using the force, and the right hand can hold the lightsaber. The boots are painted in a dark brown that matches the belt and wrist band. The head sculpt has a great likeness that matches the game, with the hair sculpted with three ponytails, and the facial details including the eyes and mouth. Included with Rey is her blue lightsaber.
Rey is packed with articulation, which includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
The First Order Stormtrooper stands at 5-1/4″ tall, and is sculpted in the white and black armor. The armor includes the updated helmet design given to First Order Stormtroopers, and the armor includes all of the classic detail that fans know and love. The armor is mostly white, with some black deco on the parts sculpted on the shoulders, elbows, hips, knee, hands, feet, neck and helmet. There is also some black deco on the belt, upper part of the armor on the front and back, as well as the blaster. The arms has some details including lines and grooves, which gives the armor some depth. The helmet includes black deco around the eye, and the trim around the cheeks and mouth, as well as the back of the helmet. There is also a silver piece sculpted on the front of the helmet.
The Stormtrooper includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees, and hinged ankles.
Overall, these figures are fun to play with, and are great representations of the video game. Star Wars fans will love these.
