NECA Toys Ultimate Chucky 7" Scale Figure

Hi i’m Chucky! Wanna Play?

NECA Toys Ultimate Chucky takes the stage of their horror series, and depicts his likeness as seen in several Child’s Play films. Chucky is one of the most notorious serial killer characters to have ever hit cinemas. Chucky is possessed by the soul of Charles Lee Ray, and the character has been collecting victims since his debut in 1988, and followed with six sequels and another planned in the near future. Compared to other horror icons like Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees, Chucky doesn’t have any special powers or abilities, except for the fact that he’s just as ruthless and cunning as they are, and has a long list of victims even before he possessed the doll. In this body, his short size doesn’t get in the way of claiming victims, as he uses to appearance of a child’s toy to trick unsuspecting adults, and even is able to outsmart and out maneuver almost all those that cross his path, with the exception of Andy.

Thank you to NECA Toys for providing their NECA Toys Ultimate Chucky 7″ Scale Figure for review.

Availability: December 2017

Chucky stands at 4″ tall, and is based on his likeness as seen in several Child’s Play films. Chucky is sculpted in the clothing of a good guy doll, and this is the doll he possessed back in the first film when he was gunned down by police in the toy store. The figure is sculpted in blue overalls, with white stitches along the sides of the suspenders, and on the sides of the front pocket and along the sides of the front of the clothing. The overalls also have red buttons, with images of the accessories for the good guy dolls painted on. This includes a cowboy hat, a hammer, cowboy boots, and various other accessories. The overalls cover most of the torso, and legs, with light blue, red, dark blue, pink, green, and thin striped long sleeve shirt and pants underneath the overalls.

The sneakers are painted in a dark red, with white shoelaces, and white deco on the sides of the sneakers, as well as underneath. The sneakers do not have the detailed designs and patterns as the 8″ Retro Clothed figure had as well as what the movie depicted.

Chucky is given four head sculpts, which depicts his likeness as seen in several of the films. This includes head shown in the first movie, the angry head sculpt, the scarred head, and the half burned off facial head sculpt. What is interesting is that the head sculpts also have different hair, as Charles continues to live in the dolls body, his hair begins to grow and also the face begins to change from the first film. The head sculpts are remarkably detailed, and each includes great facial details that makes him look as he did in the film.

Chucky includes a baseball bat, hammer, voodoo knife, hunting knife, butcher knife, straight razor, yardstick, pistol, interchangeable right forearm with blade, five interchangeable hands, and four head sculpts.

The articulation includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders,  swivel-hinged elbows, ball jointed wrists, ball hinged hips, hinged knees, and ball jointed ankles.

Overall, Chucky is an excellent figure, with a great likeness to the films. Chucky fans will definitely want to add this figure to their collection.
