ThunderCats are coming back in the form of statues in 2018 thanks to Sideshow Collectibles. Fans of the franchise will be able to collect Lion-O and Mumm-Ra, which you can check out the preview images below.
Since last year when Mattel closed Mattycollector, the ThunderCats brand took a huge hit by the fans of the figures that were sculpted by the Four Horsemen, which led up to the cancellation of the line in December 2016. This year, Brian Flynn of Super 7 previously announced that Warner Bros. would not allow them to continue the figures as they had other plans for the brand, which includes no additional details at this time. Even online fan petitions and despite all the letters written into Warner Bros. have not changed their mind about this.
While the toy line appears to be finished at the moment, at least the brand has another chance to thrive at Sideshow Collectibles. No additional information was given other than the preview images and the announcement.
