The Disney Store is now offering their exclusive Marvel Toy Box Captain America, Black Widow and Black Panther figures, which are both available in stores and online. The Marvel Toy Box figures are based on the Disney: Infinity game designs, and are re-engineered and articulated. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.
Recently, Disney Store announced additional characters that will be included to the Toy Box line-up, which includes Captain America and Star-Lord for Marvel, Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Boba Fett and Princess Leia for Star Wars, and The Incredibles – Mr Incredible, Mrs Incredible, Violet and Dash for Pixar.

Disney Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness. Captain America, Black Widow and Black Panther are the latest offerings in the Toy Box line, with other characters, as mentioned above to join the line at some point in the near future.
Black Widow stands at roughly 5″ tall and is numbered as #6 on the packaging. Black Widow is re-engineered and updated a bit with a brief likeness to how she was seen in the game, and the figure features a different style belt, with added grey deco on the costume, and a slightly different black costume than what was shown in the game. She is sculpted in a black suit with some added sculpted black lines in various places including the chest, arms, hips and legs. This gives the suit some definition rather than just a flat suit with no designs. In the game, she is painted in a black suit with a gold belt and stingers, which is usually a common design for her. This figure however has a grey belt with a red buckle, grey straps around her shoulders to hold the backpack for the batons, and grey straps around her legs to hold the removable accessories. The stingers on her forearms are nicely sculpted and detailed and looks good with the sculpt.
Her head sculpt is beautiful, and captures her likeness of the game extremely well. The facial details almost mirror the video game version, and has nicely sculpt brown hair, blue eyes, light brown eye lashes, and light brown lipstick. There is no denying this is Black Widow from the Disney Infinity game.
Included with Black Widow is a staff and two detachable accessories on her legs. The staff can break apart into four different pieces, which can also be put together as two batons.
Black Widow is also nicely articulated, which includes a ball jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees, and swivel-hinged ankles.
Overall, Disney Infinite was a great video game, and we are loving this new line by Disney. The Marvel Toy Box figures are great additions to any Marvel toy collection, and definitely something that all fans should own. Black Widow features a great sculpt and excellent quality.
