Marvel Shop and The Disney Store is now carrying the Marvel Toy Box Star-Lord Figure, and he is priced at $12.95. Star-Lord was released along with Princess Leia, and is the latest offering in the Marvel Toy Box figure collection.
The Toy Box figures are based on the Disney: Infinity game designs, and are re-engineered and articulated. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.
Recently, Disney Store announced additional characters that will be included to the Toy Box line-up, which includes Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp and Star-Lord for Marvel, Han Solo and Chewbacca for Star Wars, and The Incredibles – Violet, Dash and Frozone for Pixar. Additional characters have yet to be confirmed.
Thank you to Disney and the Disney Store for providing their exclusive Star Wars Toy Box Star-Lord Figure for review.

Disney Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness. Doctor Strange, Ant-Man, Wasp and Star-Lord are the latest offerings in the Marvel Toy Box line, with other characters, as mentioned above to join the line at some point in the near future.
Star-Lord stands at roughly 5 1/4″ tall and is numbered as #8 on the packaging. Star-Lord is sculpted in his Ravenger flight jacket that is painted in dark red, with brown deco serving as some detail. On the top part of the brown is a tiny bit of grey deco. The sleeves are mostly in red, with some brown deco on the bottom side of the forearms, and the gloves are grey with some brown deco. Around Star-Lord’s waist are two holders for his blasters, which can be placed there for easy storage, and this is also connected to the brown belt with a grey belt buckle. The pants are painted in black with some grey deco on the upper part, and the boots are brown with dark grey jetpacks on the sides that allows him to fly.
Star-Lord looks almost exactly like he does in the game, with the exception of looking the long red jacket, and an open jacket in front, the strap around his chest, and the brown shoulder pads detail and deco over his shoulders. Even without this, he has a great resemblance to the character, and the costume is best known to fans as seen in the live-action Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers: Infinity War films.
Star-Lord’s head sculpt is masked, and is painted in dark and light grey, with red visors. His hair is painted in brown, and is sculpted to look like layers. Included with Star-Lord are his two blasters, which can be stored in his hands or on the sides of his hips.
He is also nicely articulated, which includes a ball jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees, and swivel-hinged ankles.
Overall, Disney Infinite was a great video game, and we are loving this new line by Disney. The Marvel Toy Box figures are great additions to any Marvel toy collection, and definitely something that all fans should own. Star-Lord features a great sculpt and excellent detail and quality.
