Hasbro’s held their annual VIP Press Event at San Diego Comic-Con 2018, and has shown off some new Marvel, Star Wars, and Transformers toys. While most of these were shown last night during our coverage, some of these reveals are new.
One important reveal this morning was for Transformers, which is a new trilogy of toys called Transformers Generations – War For Cybertron. These toys are in scale to each other, and pay homage to the 1984 launch of the brand. In addition, these figures include customizable parts. Ultra Magnus is based on the Transformers RID (Robots in Disguise) line from 2001, and like in that show and vintage toy, he can store smaller cars in the trailer. The white Optimus Prime mold is also part of his design, which was not shown in the display.
Transformers Generation One reissues continue to see new reveals, and you can check out what’s coming in the gallery below.
Pre-Orders for some of these are available on Entertainment Earth and BigBadToyStore.
