A new line of Toy Box figures are available now at the The Disney Store, which kicks off Disney related characters including Mickey Mouse with Pluto and Jack Skeleton with Jack’s dog Zero from The Nightmare Before Christmas. The Toy Box figures are based on the Disney: Infinity game designs, and are re-engineered and articulated. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.
Recently, the Disney Store announced that this line is expanding to oversized characters including The Hulkbuster, as well as vehicles such as a car for Spider-Man, a TIE Fighter with TIE Pilot from Star Wars, and Han Solo and Chewbacca with the Millennium Falcon. These new updates include Frozone from Incredibles, a Toy Story 4 pack, a new Hulk figure, Thanos, Grey Hulk, Yoda, Ralph and Vanellope from Wreck It Ralph, and Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6. Additional characters have yet to be confirmed.
Thank you to Disney and The Disney Store for providing their Disney Toy Box – Jack Skeleton & Mickey Mouse Figures for review.

Disney Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness. Mickey Mouse and Jack Skeleton are the first Disney Toy Box figures in this new line-up, following the success of their Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar Toy Box figures.
Each figure is packaged in blister cards with the figure protected by a plastic cover and a plastic tray, with artwork on the front, images of the figures in the back, along with silhouettes of additional figures that are coming, including Ralph and Vanellope from Wreck It Ralph, and Baymax and Hiro from Big Hero 6. Mickey Mouse is numbered as #1, and Jack Skeleton is numbered as #2.
Mickey Mouse stands at roughly 4″ tall and Pluto stands at 3 1/2″ tall. Both figures are inspired by the game while keeping their iconic cartoon appearances from classic Disney. Mickey Mouse comes nicely detailed, sculpted and painted and include his classic red shorts with white buttons, oversized white gloves with black deco on the top, and oversized yellow shoes. His head sculpt is nicely done with a beige deco on his face, and the fur on the top of the head, mouse ears, nose, chest, tail, arms and legs are cast in black. The mouse is sculpted in a smiling position and showcases his tongue. His articulation includes a ball jointed head, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, swivel tail, swivel-hinged knees and swivel-hinged ankles. Pluto is painted in yellow for the fur and is mostly a PVC figure, with the exception of a ball jointed neck with limited range of movement. He is also given a green collar that is a separate piece, and his facial details are nicely done and sculpted. His long ears are cast in black, and the left one is sculpted in an upward position as if he’s trying to listen.
Jack Skeleton stands at roughly 6″ tall and Zero is 2″ tall. Both Jack and Zero are inspired by the game, while keeping their likeness to the classic The Nightmare Before Christmas appearances. Jack Skeleton features a great sculpt and his bone detail on the body and outfit look amazing. Jack comes with a skeletal designed head and hands, which are both nicely detailed with light grey and black deco in the grooves and eye sockets. His outfit is the iconic black and light grey striped suit with a bat as a bowtie, black shoes, and a chest that is visible under the bowtie. His mouth is stitched closed and in a grinning position. His articulation includes a ball jointed neck, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, waist rotation, swivel-hinged hips, swivel-hinged knees and swivel-hinged ankles. Zero is a PVC figure with a swivel neck, and has a an excellent figure sculpt with great likeness. The body has a ghostly appearance and has the orange nose to light up the way. The nose is sculpted to resemble a tiny pumpkin that is painted in orange with white eyes and a mouth, and he has a orange collar. The mouth and eyes are cast in black and the ears are wavy. The body is flat with a wavy ghost-like appearance.
Overall, these Disney Toy Box figures are fun and both include a great likenesses to the characters. Fans of the game, as well as Disney enthusiasts will love these figures.
