Mattel is now offering their WWE Basic Series 90, which includes Kane, The Miz, Aiden English, Ronda Rousey and Roman Reigns. Ronda Rousey is known to fans for her championship in UFC before moving over to the WWE. In the UFC, and with the blessing of the late WWE Hall of Famer Rowdy Roddy Piper, she goes under the ring name “Rowdy” Ronda Rousey, and kept an undefeated streak that saw her submit opponents within a matter of seconds via her signature armbar. At WrestleMania 31, she made her WWE debut standing in the ring with The Rock, and was at the WWE Royal Rumble 2018, where she wore Piper’s iconic leather jacket in his honor.

Ronda Rousey makes her action figure debut in Mattel’s WWE Basic Series 90, and is offered in her Rowdy Piper pride tee shirt. Besides her success in the UFC, Ronda Rousey is the current Raw Women’s Champion in WWE, and brings a unique style to the WWE with her background in mixed martial arts. The figure is packaged on a blister cardback with an image of her on the front, and images of the WWE wave on the back, along with artwork on both sides.
Ronda Rousey is past of the 7″ scale line, and stands just under 6 1/2″ tall. Her head sculpt has a great likeness with some detailed facial features and long blonde hair that has some individual sculpted line giving it additional detail. She is wearing the iconic Rowdy Roddy Piper shirt and logo, which includes the white shirt with red trim around the collar and sleeves, and the logo on the chest that is similar to his, but reads HOTRONDA! The logo is painted in yellow and red, with black lines around each letter. Underneath her shirt is a bra that is sculpted, which is mostly visible on her back.
Her legs are cast in black, which includes her shoes and belt. The belt includes a sculpted pattern, and her shoes have sculpted laces that gives it some realistic looking detail. There are also a sculpted patterns on the shoes. Her articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged elbows, swivel wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, hinged knees, and swivel shoes.
Ronda fits in nicely with other basic figures such as the WWE Zombies series 3, which we will be reviewing shortly, but also the Elite figures such as Mattel’s recently offered Rowdy Roddy Piper. From our knowledge, neither Ronda or Piper were ever in the ring together, so its great to be able to showcase these two iconic people in the ring fighting along side each other, and in this case, they’re fighting the undead.
Overall, Ronda Rousey is an excellent figure with excellent detail. She is surely a figure that all WWE fans will want to have, and we just loving that Roddy Piper tee shirt on her.
