The Disney Store is now offering the first vehicle in their Star Wars Toy Box line, which is the iconic Millennium Falcon ship, along with Han Solo and Chewbacca figures. The release of this Millennium Falcon is a milestone for Disney as they are breaking out of their normal releases and expanding to bigger and better things, which of course is the Toy Box line inspired by the Disney: Infinity game designs, and are re-engineered and articulated. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.
We’ve previously reviewed the individual Han Solo and Chewbacca figures, which were offered as single packs. This set includes both figures and they repainted for this special box set release, which is also listed in their Top 15 Holiday Toys For 2018.
Thank you to The Disney Store for providing their Star Wars Toy Box Millennium Falcon for review.

Disney Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness.
The Millennium Falcon measures just over 15″ long and 13″ wide and features a great likeness to the iconic Star Wars vehicle. The Millennium Falcon marks a milestone for The Disney Store as this is the first play set in their Star Wars Toy Box line, and this vehicle features both play value and makes one great display piece with the Toy Box line. There are two roof panels that can be removed, which creates a play set for the figures to be placed on it and move around to your likeness, and there are several pegs for their feet to stand on. The front part of the Millennium Falcon features the satellite that rotates, canopy and a launcher with firing projectiles. The turrent can rotate, as can the missile launcher, and the projectiles fire by pressing the buttons on top. The Millennium Falcon also features light-up engines, blast effects and sound effects.
The landing ramp drops down slowly by pressing the button in the front, but a figure cannot walk down the ramp and onto the ground as its not necessarily to scale with the 5″ figures. The landing gear drops down so that the vehicle can rest for display. The front end has a middle landing gear that snaps into place, and by pressing the button it creates the blasting sound effects. The button in front of it is needed to place it back for flight mode. The canopy can fit Han Solo, and the turrent can fit Chewbacca, and both of his hands can hold the handles.
Han Solo and Chewbacca are inspired as they appeared in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and are given animated appearances as seen in the Disney Infinity game. Han Solo features a great likeness to the game as well as keeping true to his iconic appearance in A New Hope. The figure is sculpted in his iconic classic blue leather vest, a light grey long sleeved shirt, a brown belt with a silver belt buckle, brown pants with a red stripe down the sides, black boots, and a holster strapped to his right thigh. The figure features premium deco and the articulation is well thought out and allows him to create a number of dynamic poses. His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball-hinged shoulder, ball-hinged elbows, ball hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, ball jointed knees, and ball jointed ankles. Han Solo includes his DL-44 heavy blaster pistol. Like Princess Leia and other Star Wars Toy Box figures, Han Solo features a great update to such an iconic science fiction character from the past four decades, and we truly love what the Disney Store is offering with this line.
Chewbacca is an incredible looking figure as well, and this figure is made up of many different parts that are sculpted smooth to resemble his fur. Chewbacca is constructed with some adhesive that is shown on various parts of the sculpt, which on this figure is noticeable in the back. The figure is painted in various shades of brown, which is slightly darker than the single packaged release, to indicate his fur, with some sculpted fur-like detail in various parts of the sculpt. Chewbacca comes with a removable bandolier, which is uncommon for a Chewbacca figure. He also comes with his bowcaster weapon that can be placed in his right hand. His articulation includes a all jointed head, ball-hinged shoulder, ball-hinged elbows, ball hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, ball jointed knees, and ball jointed ankles. Chewbacca is an impressive figure, with tight joints and great articulation. The facial details are nicely done and his mouth is sculpted in an open position showing his sharp teeth, and the eyes and nose sculpt and paint applications are nicely done.
Overall, the Millennium Falcon is an excellent vehicle with great features and light-up effects. The playability and likeness can out great and we especially like the amount of detail and all the space offered to place figures around it. Star Wars fans will definitely want to check out this vehicle, and the Han Solo and Chewbacca figures included.
