Disney Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness.
Grey Hulk is packaged on a blister card with artwork and images of additional figures available in the Marvel Toy Box line on the back. This includes their upcoming Thanos figure that will be available soon. Grey Hulk is numbered as #12 in the series.
Grey Hulk is inspired by his appearance in the Disney Infinity game, and is also the original Hulk created by Stan Lee, but due to ink problems the color came out green in his first appearance in Marvel Comics – Hulk #1. Grey Hulk features a reuse sculpt and re-deco of the series 1 Green Hulk figure, with an all new head sculpt. The Hulk is the bulkiest figure in the line so far, and this sculpt is a great representation of the character as it not only shows great strength, but also looks extremely formidable when placing him next to other figures.
The chest, arms, hands, legs and feet showcases his muscular physique, which some nicely sculpted details including the lines between his fingers and toes, as well as the grooves on the front of his purple pants. The grooves have a darker purple deco than the pants. The muscular details are also nicely done, and if you own the series 1 Green Hulk figure, or the newly released Hulkbuster Deluxe with Green Hulk figure set, you know exactly what to expect from this sculpt.
The new head sculpt features him yelling with an open mouth showcasing this tongue and teeth, and the likeness and attention to detail on the face came out extremely well. The hair has some sculpted details as its going in multiple directions, and the eyes look like they’re glaring at you. This sculpt and head sculpt is also used for the Hulkbuster Deluxe set as mentioned above.
Grey Hulk is loaded with articulation, which includes a ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, swivel elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed hips, hinged and rocker ankles. This is more than enough to create some great dynamic poses. He includes the same pipe that both series 1 and the Hulkbuster Deluxe set comes with.
Overall, the Grey Hulk is a monster, and with it comes an excellent Hulk figure sculpt that fans of the game and Marvel fanatics in general will love.
