Disney Store Exclusive Star Wars Toy Box Jedi Master Yoda Figure Review

The Disney Store is now offering their Star Wars Toy Box Yoda figure as part of their Fall 2018 line-up. Yoda was released along with the Spider-Man with Spider-Mobile Playset and Hulkbuster Deluxe Action Figure Set that are currently on sale, along with all other Toy Box figures as part of the Cyber Week sale.

The Toy Box figures are based on the Disney: Infinity game designs, and are re-engineered and articulated. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.

Thank you to Disney and The Disney Store for providing their exclusive Star Wars Toy Box Yoda Figure for review.

Availability: October 2018

Disney Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness.

Yoda comes with a Force Spirit Yoda figure that is made of transparent blue plastic, which is the spirit of Yoda as seen in the Star Wars films. Yoda is sculpted just like he is seen in the game, and this particular Disney Infinity version of Yoda is one figure that many fans have been wanting to own since the launch of the Toy Box line. Yoda is well worth the wait, and the figure pays a great tribute to the game as well as The Clone Wars as he’s wielding his green lightsaber.

Yoda stands at 2-1/2″ tall and features a fantastic figure sculpt with a great likeness to the character. The detail on his head including the lines on his forehead, long pointy ears, and the paint applications on his eyes, which include light and dark green pupils. There is also light grey hair on the back of his head that also goes around the ears. Yoda is sculpted in his Jedi robe that is painted in a light tan, with a dark beige clothing underneath and a brown belt. The Jedi robe has a hood on the back that is sculpted on, and is made of a soft plastic. Yoda’s lightsaber is made of a translucent green plastic, with a grey and black hilt. His articulation includes a ball hinged neck, ball hinged shoulders, ball hinged wrists, swivel-hinged hips and swivel-hinged ankles. The hinged joints are hard to move for most of the articulation.

The Force Spirit Yoda figure is entirely light blue translucent plastic, and is sculpted similar to the other figure, but is a PVC rather than an articulated figure. He is holding his cane that is attached to his palm. This figure is the same height as the other one, and roughly the same width given his armsare brought together rather than spread out. The sleeves on this figure are longer and hang down at the bottom, which fans also would recall from the film.

Overall, Yoda is an excellent figure with some of the best sculpting in the Toy Box line so far, and we particularly like the fact that the Force Spirit figure is included as a bonus. Star Wars fans would surely want to add this to their collection. Look for Yoda in stores now and online at the Disney Store.
