Hasbro Marvel Legends 6″ Avengers: Endgame Citizen V, Hercules & Nighthawk Figures Review

Hasbro’s newly released Marvel Legends 6″ Avengers: Endgame wave 1 includes Nighthawk, Citizen V, Hercules, Ebony Maw, Ronin, Captain America, Living Laser and Thanos as the build-a-figure. Avengers: Endgame hits theaters today, April 26th, 2019, and continues off where Avengers: Infinity War took off. Avengers: Endgame focuses on the surviving Avengers and their allies taking the war to Thanos to avenge the fallen in Infinity War.

Last month, we shared a new PR box that Hasbro sent out of some of their Avengers: Endgame products currently on store shelves, including new 6″ Marvel Legends figures such as what you see here.

Thank you to Hasbro for providing their Marvel Legends 6″ Citizen V, Hercules and Nighthawk Figures for review.

Availability: April 2019

The figures are packaged in the standard window box, with artwork of the film, images of the character and a brief bio on the back. Except for Captain America, each figure comes with a part of Thanos as he’s shown in Avengers: Endgame. This wave gives fans both movie and comic-inspired characters including a highly needed update of Hercules. Hasbro’s last offering of him from 2007 as part of the Annihilus Series, and was one of the very first offerings from Hasbro.

Nighthawk makes his debut in the 6″ Marvel Legends line and comes with the right arm and duel blade for Thanos. The body sculpt should be familiar to fans, which is a thin and muscular build that works well for him as well as many other characters in the Marvel Universe. The figure has some newly tooled parts including the head, cape and clawed hands. This figure is based on his appearance in The Defenders comic book series, as opposed to the alternate universe Squadron Supreme version of Nighthawk. The figure is painted in his orange suit with the orange hawk design on his shirt, orange gloves and boots, as well as a blue mask with orange wings under and onto the sides of his eyes. The likeness looks incredibly great for The Defenders Nighthawk, and it’s great to see a character like this make it into the line. The cape is nicely done and made of red plastic, which has a peg that goes into his back to keep it steady, and around his neck.

Citizen V was Baron Helmut Zemo in disguis, who was responsible for putting together the Thunderbolts, an infamous team of Super-Villains, and the reveal of this team was one of the most memorable moments of 1990’s Marvel. Citizen V shares the same body as Nighthawk, which is being used for many different Marvel Legends figures of similar build, and given a new head, belt with a sheath on the left hip to hold the sword, and cape. The cape is removable and made with soft plastic and painted in white and blue, with the America flag on the shoulder pads with the right side in metallic blue and silver stars, and the left side metallic red and white stripes. The head sculpt is nicely done with a light metallic grey plate over his head, and a blue mask behind it. With the cape on, it blocks some of the articulation of the arms, and it’s also sculpted as if the blowing in the wind. Citizen V comes with a leg for Thanos, a removeable cape, and a sword.

Both Nighthawk and Citizen V have articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Hercules is finally done right, and he has based on the modern design in Marvel Comics, but we can’t help but also want a 80’s styled figure as well down the road. The figure has a great likeness to the current modern age, and he is given a bulkier sculpt compared to Nighthawk and Citizen V. He is painted as shirtless with brush strokes to indicate hair on his chest, a chest harness that is blue and brown, with a gold belt buckle. The belt also a cup over his crotch, a strap to hold his sword on the right hip, and the back has sheaths to hold both accessories. The pants have a sculpted texture over them, as well as knee pads, straps around his calves, and pads over the top of hit boots that are all painted in dark grey. HIs head sculpt is nicely done and features an incredible likeness to the character. He is also given a brown headband over his forehead and on the sides of his head. Included with Hercules is a sword, made, an extra set of hands and the head for Thanos.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.

Overall, Nighthawk, Citizen V and Hercules are great figures with great likenesses to the comics, as well as great sculpting and paint applications. Fans of classic and modern Marvel Comics should look at picking these up. These are currently available in stores, but we recommend purchasing a set or case assortment as some of the figures may be hard to come across otherwise.
