The Disney Store continues their Toy Box line with the latest offering of the Genie, as the character was seen in the game and best known for his appearance in the classic Aladdin film of the early 1990’s. The Geanie is priced at $14.95 and you can order yours by clicking HERE!
In addition to the Genie, fans can expect Aladdin himself to join the Toy Box line at some point in the near future, and we’re also thinking that Jasmine will be part of this line as she took had a roll to play in the Disney: Infinity game.
The Toy Box figures are based on the Disney: Infinity game designs, and are re-engineered and articulated. In the game, franchises could interact throughout all of Disney’s properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and Disney/Pixar characters. Fans of that game can now collect highly detailed and articulated figures based on those designs.

Disney: Infinity was Disney’s version of LEGO Dimensions, where franchises collide and characters can interact. These figures are loosely based on this game, and have been re-engineered and articulated to resemble the game’s likeness.
The Genie is packaged on the standard blister card, and the back introduces a new reveal of Aladdin as coming to the Toy Box line.
Genie is based on his iconic appearance from the Disney: Infinity, which took his likeness from the classic Aladdin animated film. The figure has a similar build to the Incredible Hulk in the Toy Box line, with the muscular chest and arms, and thinner legs. The muscular definition on the chest shows with the pecs, back and stomach, as well as the shoulders. As you are likely aware, the Genie has the ability to grant wishes and never shown super human strength. The person who wielded his magic lamp could ask for three wishes, which is also included with the figure, and could also fit in his hand or the hand of many of the Toy Box figures as seen in the gallery.
His head sculpt is nicely done and captures the likeness incredibly well. He has an open sculpted mouth and you can see the inside of the mouth including the tongue, teeth, and throat.
His articulation includes a swivel-hinged head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, swivel-hinged hips, and swivel-hinged ankles.
The figure is painted in his light blue skin color, with gold metallic bracelets, a red belt, dark blue pants and brown shoes. He is also given white eyes with black pupils, a black beard on his lower jaw that has a sculpted curl, black eye lashes, a gold earring, and a black ponytail on top with a gold ring around the bottom of the hair. The paint applications are done incredibly well and every aspect about the likeness looks great.
Overall, the Genie features a great likeness to the gamed classic film. Disney fans should definitely add this one to their growing Toy Box collection, or at least fans of classic Disney animation. This figure and more Toy box figures are available to purchase right now at The Disney Store.
