This week we are playing catch up of some of NECA Toys latest Alien releases, including the Alien 3 Creature Pack (which includes creatures from the film, deleted scenes, and a concept figure), and Alien: Resurrection Ripley 8 and the Resurrection Warrior Xenomorph. The Alien 3 Creature Pack includes Spike, the Rottweiler, along with multiple Aliens as seen in the film. The Alien Warrior is part of Alien Series 14, which also includes Ripley 8, Newborn Alien Deluxe Figure and the Alien Queen.

The Alien 3 Creature Pack is packaged in a window box with movie inspired artwork on the bottom, sides and back, along with images of the figures also on the back. Ripley 8 and the Resurrection Warrior are packaged in clamshells also with artwork inspired by the movie, along with figure images and a brief bio on the back.
The Alien Creature pack includes the Rottweiler Spike as seen in the film, which features a ball jointed head and an interchangeable head with marks from the Facehugger attaching itself to him. The body uses the same sculpt as the dogs from a Nightmare on Elm Street figure set. The set also includes a Bambi Burster, which is the smaller form of the dog Alien, a Queen Burster (also known as the Royal Facehugger from a deleted scene in the film), and a Queen Facehugger all with great sculpts, paint washes and a good amount of articulation.
Ripley 8, also called Ellen Ripley Clone 8 is part of the 7″ scale line and features the likeness of Actress Sigourney Weaver. The figure is sculpted and painted in her brown outfit with nicely done sculpted details and textures, especially the area on her upper chest, shoulders and upper back, and knee pads. The outfit also has realistic folds, and the boots are given shoe laces with silver loops. The head sculpt has a nice likeness with good facial details and sculpted hair. Included with Ripley 8 is a Draco Double Burner and Lacrima 99 Shockrifle, interchangeable hands and a basketball. Both of the blasters have shoulder straps that can be stored around her shoulder and waist.
The Resurrection Warrior is given the new Ultimate body and includes a great figure sculpt and character likeness. At least most, if not all of the parts are brand new that’s made for this release, and the figure stands at 10″ when the legs are fully extended. The figure maintains all of the great sculpting that Alien fans have seen before, with the high-end quality textures and all of the tiny details that make this Alien sculpt so great.The figure is painted in black, with washes of brown throughout the entire sculpt. The tongue pops out as seen before, and the jaw is hinged allowing the tongue to pop out. The hands and feet are longer sculpts, as this is to allow the new hinged joints to work better. The tail is bendable, and helps him to stand in various poses for display alongside other Alien figures. The tongue pops out as seen before, and the jaw is hinged allowing the tongue to pop out. The figure is given the necessary articulation as seen before, such as double jointed elbows, knees, calves, hinged fingers, and hinged toes and other key points that we’ve mentioned in other reviews.
Overall, The Alien 3 Accessory Pack, Ripley 8 and the Resurrection Warrior are all great figures with some of the best sculpts and deco out on the market. Alien fans should definitely look for these now to add to their collections.
