The NECA Toys booth at New York ToyFair earlier this week was amazing, and you can check out our video walkthrough from the show with Stefan. The booth was incredible, especially this years Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 7″ and 1/4″ scale figures that were shown from both the classic cartoon and movie lines. Another one of our favorites was the 7″ scale Defenders of the Earth line that is coming. There is so much NECA goodness coming and we cannot wait until we have these in-hand. Getting back on topic, this version of Pennywise is based on the Tim Curry likeness from the 1990 television mini-series, and he comes with interchangeable hands, heads and a red balloon.

Pennywise is packaged in a window box with nicely done artwork from the classic mini-series, including the front and sides. On the back there is an image of the figure along with a brief description.
Pennywise is based on the 1990 television mini-series and features the likeness of Tim Curry. The figure features soft-goods clothing, including yellow overalls that includes there orange soft buttons with a black stripe down the center, a vest with a red lining and multiple colors, blue and purple sleeves with red lines, a neck ruffle piece in white, blue, purple and red lines between the blue and purple, and black shoes. The clothing includes great attention to detail, especially the vest and sleeves.
Pennywise includes two head sculpts that captures his facial expression from multiple scenes in the series, including a smiling laugh and a grin with his sharp teeth showing. The facial details are excellent, with the red nose, yellow eyes, sharp teeth, red lipstick, white skin tone and red textured hair.
Pennywise includes a red balloon with a right hand sculpt attached, and the balloon cannot be raised or lowered in his hand. He also includes two interchangeable demon hands with green textured skin and black nails, and two white hands.
His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball jointed shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso with limited range of motion, ball joined hips, swivel thighs, hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, Pennywise is given a great likeness to the series and the quality is truly top notch. The details on the soft-goods, especially the vest has some of the best details we’ve seen in the 8″ Clothed line. The head sculpts features a great likeness and excellent facial details. This is surely one figure you need to own.
