Mega Construx – Masters Of The Universe Heroes Wave 1 Figures Review

Mega Construx are offering a new line of the Heroes assortment that they’ve been doing for the past several years and offering full waves of Masters of the Universe figures to go along with Mattel’s new launch of the brand for 2020. This new line continues where Heroes left off with offering Masters of the Universe characters along with other brands like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, X-Files, God of War, Terminator, Predator, Alien, Star Trek and Assassins Creed. This line is focused on just Masters of the Universe, and includes new versions of some previously offered characters, and brand new characters. This wave includes Skeletor, Evil Lyn, Prince Adam, Stratos and Moss Man.

At this years New York ToyFair, Mattel had shown off some new Masters of the Universe figures, including some new Mega Construx offerings such as the Roton with Mer-Man, Battle Ram with Tri-Klops and Mekaneck, Battle Armor Skeletor with Panthro, Battle Armor He-Man with Battle Cat, and Point Dread with Talon Fighter.

This new version of Skeletor gives you some of the brightest deco on the figure offered so far, with a bright blue skin tone, purple chest armor, cloth and boots. His skeletal head also has a purple hood around it, and his head is yellow with black deco on the eyes, nose and mouth. Included is a repainted staff, that is in a light shade of purple, almost pink), and a light grey skull.

Evil Lyn is offered in her beige skin tone, as the yellow version of her was previously released. The armor is also repainted in purple and blue, with black hair and red lipstick. Her staff is in a light blue with a tiny black orb, which unfortunately doesn’t look as good as the previous offering.

Stratos is also repainted with a red jetpack, red harness, blue wings, red belt, blue lion cloth, and grey skin tone. His head sculpt is nicely done with a blue chin hair, beige skin tone red headgear, grey and black mask. his staff is very similar to the previous version, with a neon green and bronze deco.

Moss Man makes his debut in this wave, and includes sculpted fur that is painted in grey, yellow belt, brown lion cloth, and yellow wrist bracelets. His head sculpt is nicely done with white fangs and a red tongue. Included is a brown mace.

Prince Adam also makes his debut in this wave, and comes in a red vest, with a black belt and a gold belt buckle, white shirt, light purple pants, purple lion cloth, purple boots with a white trim around it on top. His head sculpt is nicely done with yellow hair, and nicely done facial details.
