This set was originally released as part of Hasbro’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 offerings and was originally a hard to find figure in stores. That same year, Toys “R” Us closed its doors after filing for bankruptcy, and in 2018, Toys “R” Us closed its doors in the U.S. In 2019, they rebranded their U.S. stores are reopened in a few mall locations, with all the $5 Billion debt forgiven (that hardly seems fair, right?).
If you missed Groot back in 2017, you now have a new opportunity to own this great set that is available to pre-order on Entertainment Earth for $21.99, which is bad news for the people trying to sell him on eBay for $60 USD.
Groot comes with in 3 versions, with an adult 9″ Groot that was originally a Build-A-Figure with a new head, the ever so popular Baby Groot in a pot, and a small child version of Groot.
