Diamond Select Toys are re-offering the very first waves of their popular The Nightmare Before Christmas Select figures, including re-releases of waves 1 and 2, including the popular Oogie Boogie. Interestingly enough, the re-issues of series 1 includes the New York Comic-Con release of Lock, Shock and Barrel, but offered without the tub that they originally came with. This is a “Best Of” assortment that gives you another opportunity to pick up some fan favorites such as The Mayor, Jack (2 versions), Santa Jack, Sally, Dr. Finkelstein, and Jack as the Pumpkin King. At this years New York ToyFair, we learned that DST only has a few more waves planned of this line after the recently released Series 7 and 8, which are out now, and Series 9 and 10 coming up. It is unclear exactly how many more figures will be offered as they are running low on characters to do. One could say to look at what they already did, and see how many more characters were in the film, and that should approx. be your answer.
Update – There are 2 waves that are now solicited, Wave 1 and 2 as mentioned below, and a “Jobs of Jack” Box Set with Jack, Pumpkin King Jack and Santa Jack. The information below does not list the Jack Box Set, but can be pre-ordered at the stores listed below:
