NECA Toys San Diego Comic-Con 2020 Exclusive – Predator 2 City Demon Predator Ultimate Figure Review

NECA Toys is offering a City Demon Predator Ultimate Figure inspired from Predator 2 at this years San Diego Comic-Con. The City Demon Predator features the City Hunter Predator in a partially cloaked state as we’ve seen with the Jungle Hunter Predator. This figure is cast in clear plastic and given some blue, black, and white paint applications that is inspired from the lightning strike outside of the Eastern building from the film. Included with this figure are five interchangeable hands, two smart discs, a collapsed combi stick, an extended combi stick, and a skull.

Thank you to NECA Toys for providing their San Diego Comic-Con 2020 exclusive City Demon Predator Ultimate Figure.

Availability: Starting July 23rd, 2020 – San Diego Comic-Con Exclusive

The City Demon Predator is packaged in a window box with an opening flap, with nicely done artwork on the front, sides, images of the figure on the back along with a brief bio. Once you open the flap, the area around the plastic tray lights up and simulates a lightning strike that inspires the deco of this figure.

The City Demon Predator uses the new updated sculpt of the Ultimate City Hunter Predator and is cast in clear plastic with some great deco that indicates a lightning strike that shows up more on the front than the back. The deco consists of blue, black, purple and white metallic deco that is crisp and clean throughout the sculpt and accessories. The sculpt includes a retractable blade and a computer on the left gauntlet, a holster for the disc on his right hip, and there is a clip on his back to hold the staff (both extended and closed). The figure has a shoulder mounted cannon that is smaller than most other Predators in this line. This cannon has some of the lightning strike deco as well as shown.

This Predator figure uses the same great level of articulation as previous figures have, including double jointed knees and elbows, and a ball jointed torso. The sculpt is pretty solid and for the most part the joints are tight, with the exception of the ankles as on this sample the figure tends to lean forward as he’s being moved around, and in the video it’s shown how he can fall over unless you’re careful with the ankles. The hands are also interchangeable, but it’s still challenging to swap out that left hand due to the blades being there, as you run a risk of breaking it by trying to swap out the hands. Just be extra careful here.

Overall, this is everything that a convention exclusive should be, as the City Demon Predator figure is certainly something special that the most core of fans will enjoy. Details to purchase are below, and best of luck to everyone that wants one.
