Each figure is packaged in a Castle Grayskull themed box, that has a letter at the bottom of the box indicating what figure is inside. Castle Grayskull features a peg on the top so that a figure can stand on top, and can connect to each other as shown in the gallery and video.
Each figure in this assortment stands at 2″ and in their iconic animated inspired colors, and they each one with one character specific accessory. This line was first introduced to fans on Mattycollector with one wave of 2-packs, following the success of the slightly larger He-Man and Skeletor 2-pack that was exclusive to San Diego Comic-Con 2013 (see comparisons in the gallery and video). These figures are scaled down to that and include some newly tooled parts and some reused from the MOTU Mini line on Mattycollector. He-Man and Skeletor are given brand new sculpts as these particular versions were not offered in the 2″ line, and instead all that was offered back then was the Battle Armor versions.
Man-At-Arms however has some reuse and newly tooled parts, such as his head, and left arm with the shoulder pad that is newly tooled. The rest of the sculpt is reused from the first release, which was offered in much darker toy accurate colors. The mace is also a reuse, and you can see it closer in the video above.
Buzzoff is also a new figure in the line and this character was never offered on Mattycollector. For reference, we’re showing him next to the old Stratos figure for a comparison, as he was previously offered. Buzzoff has an impressive sculpt, and comes with his axe that snaps in his hand as opposed to sliding in like most other figures. The wings are not articulated, and just remain as shown.
Ram Man was planned on Mattycolletor’s second wave of the MOTU Minis line, but sadly this did not happen. Thankfully, this is now corrected and we finally have this character in the line, in a all new sculpt. The figure is very impressive looking, and he comes with his axe.
Trap Jaw was also planned for Mattycollector and it looks like he and Ram Man were going to be paired together for the 2-packs. The figure is also newly tooled, and they did a real nice job capturing his robotic arm and jaw. The arm has one attachment accessory.
Jitsu was also planned for Mattycollector, and it looks like he was scheduled to be packed in with Mekaneck. This is another impressive figure sculpt and they really did a nice job on that open karate chop iron fist. Included with Jitsu is a sword.
Overall, Masters of the Universe Minis are back after 5 years of waiting, and this is a line that will surely be a hit with the kids and collectors alike. Make sure to check these out and start collecting!
