Hasbro Marvel Legends X-Men: Age Of Apocalypse Morph Figure Review

Marvel in the 1990’s was the best decade for the brand in my personal opinion, with some unique and very compelling X-Men storylines such as Days of Future Past, Age of Apocalypse, and of course Jim Lee breaking boundary’s in 1991 when he launched X-Men #1. Let’s not forget that X-Men 1992 animated series that many of us reading this right now grew up watching. It was a great time to be a fan and these stories remain timeless in the hearts and souls of the fanbase.

Morph is a shapeshifter, and was one of the X-Men to see the fall of Apocalypse at the end of the war, as well as the stabilization of Bishop’s reality. With their world on the brink of nuclear holocaust, Morph and everyone on Earth were spared at the last minute by Jean Grey’s Phoenix powers.

X-Men: Age of Apocalypse has had some figures in the past from Toybiz in the 1990’s, Toybiz Marvel Legends, and even Hasbro offered AOA Sunfire as a HTS exclusive. Jumping ahead, this storyline is finally getting the recognition it deserves and we have a full wave of figures to check out, including a Sugar Man Build-A-Figure joining the line. It’s a good time to be a fan again and 90’s Marvel lives on again in toy form!

Availability: June 2020

Morph is packaged in the standard single carded packaging with artwork and logo’s on the front, sides, and on the back is an image of the figure, a brief bio, and images of the rest of the wave, including Sugar Man.

Morph joins the Age of Apocalypse line by Hasbro and is surely one figure that you don’t want to miss out on given his popularity in the comics, especially back in the mid-1990’s. Morph is painted in his blue and black outfit, yellow gloves and boots, with a purple cape with metallic silver circles. The figure sculpt is shared with various other figures in this wave and others, and what is new is the head, cape, hands and forearms, and the boots. His head sculpt is painted in white, with a black eye lash and eye sockets.

Morph includes a leg of Sugar Man.

Overall, Morph is a great figure that fans will absolutely will be happy with. The attention to detail and character likeness is great to the source material, so make sure to grab him and others in the wave and build that Sugar Man figure!
