Casey Jones is one of the most recognized human characters amongst Turtles fans worldwide, and he is making his debut in this line that inspired from the 1987 series by NECA Toys. Casey Jones comes with a Foot Soldier (Slashed) and will be exclusively available at Target here in the U.S., and available at the NECA Store.
Interestingly enough, Casey Jones only had 5 appearances in the classic cartoon series, but he was given more attention in the Mirage comics, classic 1990 film, as well as other animated series that came later on. While his appearance in this show was limited, it remains to be one of the most memorable to fans given the nature of his popularity.

Casey Jones and the Sliced Foot Soldier are packaged in the standard window box packaging of the line, with nicely done artwork that’s inspired from the series, including images of the figures on the sides, images of the figures and a bio on the back.
Casey Jones is sculpted and painted as he appeared on the show, with a light blue torn shirt, light tan pants, a light grey hockey mask that is sculpted to his head, green shows, brown gloves with his fingers poking through, white wrist bands, a brown shoulder pad with a brown strap across his chest, and the sculpt has white lines giving him definition. His muscular physique and great attention to detail and paint applications look impressive, especially the torn parts on his clothing such as the area around his shirt, knees, and the bottom of the pants that are tied above the shoes. His head sculpt is given black hair, and his mask has red straps going along the sides and back of his head.
Casey Jones is known for using sports equipment as his choice of weapons, and he comes with a wooden bat, metal bat, hockey stick, a goalie hockey stick, a hammer and a gold bag to hold all of the accessories. The gold bag is made of soft plastic, and the strap goes around his torso to hold it.
Casey Jones is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
The Slashed Foot Soldier uses many parts of the existing Foot Soldier sculpt that has been offered, with a newly tooled torso with nearly sliced in half torso showing his wiring and circuits. The new torso is exceptional, as is the rest of the sculpt, but it’s great to have a Foot Soldier in this line that depicts one slicked nearly in half like this as seen on the cartoon. The Slashed Foot Soldier has two shades of purple, which are actually lighter than the previous offerings, and is also painted in black, light grey, with a yellow foot symbol on his forehead, and yellow eyes.
Included with the Sliced Foot Soldier are four sets of interchangeable hands (grip, fist, open hand and karate chop), a communicator with Rocksteady on the screen, two throwing stars, the same blaster that he previously came with, and a newly tooled blaster that has some retro 50’s sci-fi vibe to it. The sculpt and deco on the accessories are also excellent as NECA has captured this perfectly.
Overall, Casey Jones and the Slashed Foot Soldier are excellent figures with great sculpts, deco and superior quality. These are worthy of your collection, and it’s also important to note that we here at ToyHypeUSA have been waiting for a Casey Jokes figure to be done like this for over 30 years. It’s been a long wait, but he’s finally arrived!
