Availability: October 2020 – Wal-Mart Exclusive

Each figure is packaged on a blister card with nicely done artwork by Axel Gimenez. This includes the Masters of the WWE Universe logo on top, which is inspired from the Masters of the Universe and WWE logo’s, and the exploding rocks behind it indicates that the logo is bursting out. The figure is placed as if he’s standing inside the ring. On the back is artwork of the character, a brief description and a look at what the figure can do. Also shown is the rest of the single carded figures.

Jake “The Snake” Roberts includes shared parts and pays homage to King Hsss as well as given the powers of Snake Face from Masters of the Universe. His head sculpt is a mask that comes off revealing the snake underneath, He is given black chest armor that is similar to Macho Man Randy Savage, with the snake logo on the front, with armor cast in black. He also is painted in a blue-green pants with a purple snake painted on, purple boots, and green gauntlets. The facial deco on the snake is very nicely done, and once you remove the armor, there is that same snake deco on his chest. He is given the powers to turn other characters into stone, which is a great homage and power to have. Included with Jake “The Snake” Roberts is Damian, his snake, and a mini-comic.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel things, hinged and rocker ankles.

Mr. T is getting a lot of attention lately as we first saw a figure just released as this years SDCC exclusive, and now he’s joining the Masters of the WWE line by Mattel. Mr. T pays homage to Fisto with those giant fists he comes with, with the closed fisted one being a repaint to the one that came with Roman Reigns. Mr. T comes in metallic gold and blue chest armor, with the gold matching the deco on his fists. The armor is removable as are the fists, revealing his physique underneath. He comes in red pants, with gold boots, and blue and red stripes on them. He also has red and blue ribbons on his biceps, and metallic silver bracelets on his wrists. His head sculpt is nicely done, especially that grin on his face. His mohawk has a sculpted texture to it, and they captured a great likeness. What is missing however are his iconic necklaces and rings, but looks like that gold was replaced with his armor and fists. Also included with Mr. T is a mini-comic.

“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt is one of the most spectacular figures in this entire line so far, especially that head sculpt and all of that attention to detail. The Fiend’s head is painted in white and black, with blonde hair that has a sculpted texture to it. His outfit includes a black vest that is made of a soft plastic, a black shirt, black band on his right bicep, black gloves, black pants and shoes, with red stripes on the hips and knees. Included with the Fiend are a set of interchangeable axe and mace accessories that are swappable with his hands. Also included is a mini-comic.

Seth Rollins pays homage to Wun-Dar, as you can see the symbol on his armor, and is mostly in a black outfit with metallic copper deco. The deco brings out some of the details in the outfit, which is definitely a nice touch. Seth Rollin’s likeness is seen in the head sculpt, with a sculpted beard, mustache, a long black hair. He also has black bands on his wrists. Included with Rollins is a fire sword, which looks great and can fit in either hand, as well as a mini-comic.

Overall, Mattel’s Masters of the WWE Universe is a great line that works great for both Masters of the Universe and WWE. The characters and sculpts work well together and we love how the parts can be interchangeable. This wave is a great addition to the line and most of these figures have homage to Masters of the Universe characters. This is a great line and definitely what the fans have been waiting for. Make sure to pick these up as you surely won’t want to miss out on these great characters.
