Availability: July 2020 – Wal-Mart Exclusive

Each figure is packaged on a blister card with nicely done artwork by Axel Gimenez. This includes the Masters of the WWE Universe logo on top, which is inspired from the Masters of the Universe and WWE logo’s, and the exploding rocks behind it indicates that the logo is bursting out. The figure is placed as if he’s standing inside the ring. On the back is artwork of the character, a brief description and a look at what the figure can do. Also shown is the rest of the single carded figures.

The Undertaker pays homage to Scareglow, and comes in glow-in-the-dark plastic, with purple and black stripes on his chest and shoulders. The figure comes in black armor that is removable, with metallic silver bolts, black pants, black boots, black gloves and bracelets, and a black elbow pad on his left elbow. The armor is removable, allowing the glow-in-the-dark feature to be shown even better if the area is dark enough. The head sculpt looks great, with black sculpted hair in the back as well as facial hair, white eyes, with black deco around them, and nicely done facial details. The axe can be placed on the back of his chest armor, as shown in the video and photogallery, which is a nice detail. He also comes with a mini-comic.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel things, hinged and rocker ankles.

Braun Strowman pays homage to Beast Man, and comes in a removable chest piece that is placed over his torso, armor on his upper arms, and large claws that are removable. His head sculpt might be difficult to keep on as the chest piece is so big, but it’s a great likeness and includes a long beard, a ponytail, and nicely done facial details. He also has purple pants, red deco on the legs, black boots, and a black tank top. The claws have some great sculpting and are made of plastic. They fit nicely on the wrists and hold up pretty well as they don’t tend to fall off too easily. Also included is a mini-comic.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel things, hinged and rocker ankles.

The New Day pays tribute to Man-E-Faces, and his head can swivel inside the armor revealing all three members of the tag-team – Big E, Kofi Kingston, and Xavier Woods. His armor is painted in pink, light blue, yellow and white, all in bright colors just as you see in the ring. He also has white wrist bands, and the piece on top of his helmet is what rotates the faces around. It might be wise to pick up three to display in all three faces, given that they’re a tag team and all. The New Day doesn’t include any accessories, but does come with a mini-comic.

His articulation includes swivel faces, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel things, hinged and rocker ankles.

The Rock comes with a mace that pays homage to Man-At-Arms, and they did a fantastic job on this figure as well. He comes with removable chest armor with a bull on the front, and a removable championship belt with nicely sculpted details. Underneath the belt are his black trunks with the words The Rock, and he also black knee and elbow pads, metallic gold bracelets, and black boots. His head sculpt looks great, with nicely done facial details, sculpted hair, and long sideburns.

His articulation includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel-hinged knees, swivel things, hinged and rocker ankles.

Overall, Mattel’s Masters of the WWE Universe is a great line that works great for both Masters of the Universe and WWE. The characters and sculpts work well together and we love how the parts can be interchangeable. This wave is a great addition to the line and most of these figures have homage to Masters of the Universe characters. This is a great line and definitely what the fans have been waiting for. Make sure to pick these up as you surely won’t want to miss out on these great characters.
