Zarax and Zork are based on his appearance from the episode “Night of the Dark Turtle,” and features some newly tooled and shared parts with existing figures in the line such as Leatherhead, Bebop and Rocksteady. The sculpt is big and bulky, and this is one of the tallest sculpts in the line so far, and stands out compared to other figures in this line. Their head sculpts are brand new, as well as the armor, and shoulder pads, and includes a shared tail with Leatherhead and the Triceraton Infantryman, and shared arms and legs. Both of these head sculpt are spectacular, and there is no denying that the likeness from the cartoon looks great. They feature the likeness of a Triceratops, as seen with the shape of the head, including the three horns on their heads. Each comes in his alien armor with some great painted and sculpted detail, and looks just like it did in the episode. Both of the armors are in different colors and they did a great job capturing all that great detail and likeness with this. The light orange and green skin tones looks great, including the painted lumps and black highlight deco is added to give them definition. The two-tone shading are applied cleanly and this also came out great.

The bracelets on Zarax wrists are removable and interchangeable with the bladed gauntlets that is included for combat. This is especially useful when fighting Leonardo or Raphael.

The Triceraton also includes three blasters, and a total of 5 interchangeable hand sculpts each. Two of the blasters were last seen with Bebop and Rocksteady, and the new larger blaster is offered just for him. The hand sculpts include two sets of open and grip, and one trigger hand for the Triceraton.

The articulation includes a ball jointed head, hinged jaw, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double hinged elbows, swivel hinged wrists, ball joined torso, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and swivel-hinged ankles.

Overall, this is a great set and NECA has done an incredible job with giving fans two of the best figures in the line. The sculpt, paint and overall design on these is superb, but keep in mind that these are adult friendly as they are on the fragile side. These make great additions to the line, and surely this sculpt will stand out on your toy shelf.
