NECA Toys have released their Ultimate Scout Predator 7″ Scale Figure that is based on Predator 2. The Scout Predator was seen along with other Predators at the end of the film, as part of the Los Angeles hunting party. After Detective Mike Harrigan defeated the City Hunter Predator in hand-to-hand combat, the Predators de-cloaked around him.
The Scout Predator is given an upgrade with an all new body loaded with articulation, an assortment of interchangeable hands, and two heads, one of which is a brand new unmasked head. Other accessories include open & closed disc weapons, blast effect, a long range blaster rifle, and a collapsed version that doubles as a backpack.

The Scout Predator is packaged in a window box with an opening flap, with some great looking artwork on the cover with the Predator 2 logo at the bottom, sides, and on the back are some images of the Scout Predator, a look at additional figure and a description. The opening flap includes an image of him, and he is packaged in a plastic tray along with his accessories.
The Scout Predator has a similar look to the Jungle Hunter Predator, with different armor, but similar overall character design. The armor is incredibly detailed and painted in a metallic silver with a black wash, and the armor includes sculpted details and designs throughout the sculpt. The fishnet design is also sculpted to the skin, which is something you see on each Predator figure.
The head sculpts look great and the helmeted head has a metallic silver mask with a wash, and is sculpted to this head, with the hair going down the back. The unmasked head is something new that you didn’t see in the film, and they did a great job designing this head with the facial details and Yautja species characteristics. The shoulder cannon is also quite unique on this figure, as it’s only placed on his shoulders, rather than sculpted to the shoulder pad as we’ve previously seen. This piece just slides in there and may or may not fall out.
The Predator figure includes an assortment of accessories that includes a giant rifle looking weapon with the tip of it can extend, a folded up version of this rifle that you can plug into his back (but this does fall off rather easily), five interchangeable hand sculpts, a small armor piece, open & closed disc weapons, blast effect, an extended and folded up spear. Some of these accessories you will be familiar with from previous releases, while accessories such as the rifle are new.
Overall, the Scout Predator is an excellent figure with great attention to detail, sculpting, and a great addition to the line. The upgraded body adds a lot of articulation, and there are some really fun accessories and swap out parts that makes him a unique looking character to an already impressive line.
