NECA Toys is offering a new release of their Faun release in the Guillermo del Toro Signature Collection Pan’s Labyrinth Pan’s Labyrinth – Old Faun line-up, which is the Old Faun figure that is available now. He is a repaint of The Faun, and is given a new head that goes with the new deco, and includes two satchels and a bone flute. The Old Faun is the sixth release in this series, which also includes The Faun, The Amphibian Man, The Pale Man, and the Guillermo del Toro 8″ Figure.

The Old Faun is packaged in a window box with an opening flap, with most of the packaging is in black, with an image of him on the front, and images of the figure on the back and the opening flap. The Old Faun is packaging in a plastic tray, along with a bone flute, a satchel, and a container. The first release also came with a dagger, which is not included in the Old Faun release.
The Old Faun is a repaint of the previously offered Faun figure, with an incredibly detailed sculpt with sculpted details and textures making up the body. This includes tree bark style legs, and sculpted patterns and designs. carved into the skin. This design work is truly stellar with all the details represented here, and the designers truly went all out on this one.
The new head sculpt works great for him, and shows his aging from the first release. This head sculpt features a different facial expression, as well as new deco applied for this head. The previous released offered more earth tones, such as browns and tans, this new head sculpt has a much more green tone look to it. The eyes are also a stark white, compared to the traditional look from the previous release. These colors seem to pay homage to the sharp green lighting that was present whenever the Faun appeared on screen. The paint applications and applied nicely to the figure with nice color transitions between the earthly elements and more natural skin of the character. The figure has several paint washes that add depth and definition to the intricate sculpt as well.
Included are two satchels and a bone flute. The satchels can open, and the bone flute can even be placed inside the backpack looking one.
Overall, the Old Faun is an incredibly detailed figure that fans will surely enjoy, with all of the incredible detailing and sculpting work going on here. If you own the first release, this is a nice variation of that to own. The accessories are also equally as impressive and sculpt and painted extremely well. Fans of the film, NECA collectors, and action figure fans will surely enjoy this figure.
