Mattel announced some upcoming He-Man figures inspired from the upcoming Masters of the Universe Revelation 7″ scale figures. This was part of their Virtual Analyst Day Meeting today that would have had taken place during New York ToyFair 2021. The new animated figures are shown above, and these are not Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe: Revelations show, which is tied to the original Filmation series of the 1980’s, but an all-new MOTU adventure coming to Netflix. This image shows the new designs for He-Man, Battle Cat, Skeletor and Evil Lyn.
Look for these figures to ship later this year, and these were first announced back at Power-Con 2020. Interestingly enough, it might be that Revelation and Masterverse might be the same thing, but we’ll have to wait and see on that.
Mattel/Mega Construx is relaunching their Masters of the Universe line, which they have already offered figures, vehicles, and even a Castle Grayskull playset. How this relaunch will look remains a mystery at the moment. We do know that Mattel did plan on re-releasing the Castle Grayskull playset from the constructing set line, so the re-launch may see some re-releases of older products, along with new items to come.
We do know that a new Mega Construx Battle Cat figure is also part of the re-launch. How that will look, maybe with more articulation, also remains a mystery.
Mattel Masters of the Universe figures are available on Entertainment Earth, BigBadToyStore, and Amazon.
