Thank you to NECA Toys for providing their Gremlins 2: The New Batch – Greta Ultimate Figure for review.

Availability: March 2021

Greta is packaged in a window with an opening flap, with beautifully done artwork on the front, Gremlins 2 logo on the sides, and on the back is a description along with images of the figure. The opening flap also includes an image, and she is packaged in a plastic tray along with her accessories.

Greta joins NECA’s Gremlins 2: The New Batch line-up in all of her glory and beauty, and features an excellent likeness to the film. She is given the same love and attention to detail as we’ve seen through the entire Gremlins line, with sculpted textures and great paint applications on the skin, including several area’s that are painted in purple and brown such as the shoulders, arms, legs and back. The chest, and parts of the arms and legs have a light beige given to it, also as we’ve seen with other Gremlins figure in this line.

Her head sculpt is given a great likeness, and includes rooted green hair, red lipstick, blue eye liner, a black dot on the left cheek, and articulated ears. Her mouth is not articulated, which is something we see on the male Gremlin figures, and stays in that kissing pose with the lips close together. The attention to detail and paint applications on the eyes came out great, and looks realistic to the film. The rest of the paint apps on the head look great, including the beige deco, light brown deco on the ears, and green skin with sculpted textures. The hair primarily covers the back of the head, and you can move the hair around as it could cover parts of the face.

She is dressed in a white and black top and skirt, with a black pattern. Parts of the skirt are made of a soft plastic, and the rest of it, including the top feels like it’s a mix of soft and hard plastic.

Included with Greta is a feature bio that is in pink, which is also extremely fragile as parts of it tend to fall off. She also includes two sets of interchangeable hands, and a potion container that transformed her into the only female gremlin. The bottle is made of clear plastic, with a label and there is a pink plastic piece inside to make it look like it’s full.

Overall, Greta came out great, especially those attention to details with the paint apps, skin textures and accessories. Fans of the film will definitely love this figure and she makes a great addition to your growing NECA collection.
