This his set includes four new head sculpts that give you different facial expressions, 7″ scale versions of the four Baby Turtles, a spinning nunchuck hand for Michelangelo, a TV, a bottle of Turtle Wax, Shredder’s damaged helmet, Donatello’s Straw Hat, a Skateboard, a stuffed panda, a bag of pork rinds, a box of pizza, a manhole cover, a newspaper and more.

Thank you to NECA Toys for providing their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie Accessory Set for review.

Availability: June 2021

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie Accessory Set is packaged in a box, with great looking artwork inspired from the poster of the film. The sides also include artwork, as well as images of the figure with accessories that are included. The back includes more images of the figures with the included accessories, and there’s also a description on the top right.

The Accessory Set is meant to enhance your photography and displays, with scene specific offerings throughout the film. The new head sculpts are each given a unique expression not previously offered for the 7″ scale, with all-new bandana’s that hang down both of their shoulders. Each head includes the same great sculpted texture and detail that the previous heads came with. The peg joint comes with the head, and you’re going to want to be careful and first use a hair dryer on the neck when popping off the existing head with this new one.

The Baby Turtles figures are 7″ scale versions, showing them as tiny versions of their younger selves when the mutagen transformed them. These figures have a few points of articulation, such as a ball jointed head, and swivel arms, and includes the same great detail and sculpted textures that we’ve seen on the larger versions. Also included is a can of mutagen, with the TCRI text, a crack on the side, a removable top, and the same great detail as previously seen.

The set also includes a pizza box that can open and close, and has some similar detail to the 1/4″ version of it. The four pizza slices can fit inside, which includes a number of toppings. Also included is a bag of pork rinds and corn chips.

A television set is also included, and includes April O’Neil on the screen, played by Judith Hoag. The television has some great attention to detail that you would recall from a 1980’s model, as tv sets were like a box back then, as opposed to being a flat screen like they are today. The back of the tv has a hole on it so it can be mounted to a wall for a diorama.

Several other accessories are shown above, including a straw hat, a panda bar, a sewer lid, and Shredder’s damaged helmet.

Michelangelo includes a skateboard with rotating wheels, a bag of pork rinds, and a street sign that comes with a base.

Michelangelo also comes with a hand, with a hole on top of the finger to place the spinning nunchuck on top. However, in this box, the spinning nunchuck was missing, so we could not use it in the photoshoot. A newspaper is also included, and is double sided.

Overall, this is a fun accessory set with some great offerings inside that fans are sure to enjoy. The movie likenesses work well for this scale, and they did an incredible job choosing and designing these. If you missed out on the pre-order, your best bet is the secondary market now.
