Jakks Pacific have re-issued their Super Mario Donkey Kong 6″ Scale Figure that is exclusively available at FUN for $19.99. Donkey Kong is a larger figure compared to the 4″ line and was originally offered back in 2014, and fans finally have another opportunity to own this incredible figure. This may be your last chance to own this figure as fans have been hoping for a reissue for years considering his secondary market value, and the fact that Jakks has brought back both 2.5″ and 4″ figures, along with their 6″ Bowser figure.

Donkey Kong is packaged in a window box and nicely done artwork inspired from the game, including images on the sides, a look at the figure on the back as well as a description.
Donkey Kong is an oversized figure and features sculpted textures that represents his fur as seen in the game, which can be found on his head, arms, legs, sides and back. The chest, face, ears, eye brows, hands and feet are made of vinyl and are smooth, which also captures the likeness quite well. The head sculpt includes a big email with his teeth grinning, red gums on the bottom, big white eyes with brown pupils. Around the eyes is brown deco that is smooth, and not textured like the top of the head.
The sculpted fur on the head is also a darker brown than the rest of the brown deco on the body, which is because it’s vinyl and not a hard plastic like the rest of the sculpt. It does look inaccurate to have two different shades of brown, but this is mostly noticeable from the back and you generally don’t display figures from their back so it’s a minor thing from that point. The tie wraps around his neck and is made of vinyl, and painted in red and a yellow DK logo in the front.
His articulation is quite impressive, and includes a swivel head, ball hinged shoulders, hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, ball hinged hips and swivel ankles.
Donkey Kong stands taller than Bowser when placed on his feet, and is one of the most impressive looking figures in the entire Super Mario line by Jakks.
Diddy Kong was one I picked up back in March 2020 just as the pandemic forced everything to shut down, which was a lucky find considering he was offered in 2015, and I was able to showcase him in this review now for comparison. The figures look great together, and I finally have the pair.
Overall, there’s so much for love about this figure especially his size and attention to detail, that you just have to add him to your collection if you don’t already have him. At the $19.99 price point it’s hard to pass up on this, so make sure to grab him now while you can! Link to buy below:
