Darth Vader and Obi-Wan Kenobi is packaged in the standard Toy Box blister card, with packaging artwork, an images on the side, and the back gives you look at Luke Skywalker, R2-D2 and Grogu set that is also released. This set is #28 of the Star Wars Toy Box line. Each brand in the Toy Box line are given their own unique numbering (Ex: Marvel, Pixar, Disney, Star Wars).

As the set is based on the new Obi-Wan Kenobi tv series streaming on Disney+, while given the Toy Box style treatment, you’re getting a younger Obi-Wan figure, compared to the old man we saw in A New Hope. Obi-Wan comes in  a brown beard and hair, which gives off the younger look, as well as a dark brown robe, beige shirt, brown belt with metallic silver deco, brown pants, with beige between them at the brown boots. The shades of brown are different between the hair, robe, belt, pants and boots, with the robe being made of a soft plastic while the sleeves are hard plastic, and there is a slight differences of brown between that as well given the different materials used to make it. Obi-Wan includes a blue lightsaber, and can be held in his left hand.

His articulation including a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged biceps, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed  hips, swivel-hinged knees, and swivel-hinged ankles.

Darth Vader is a reissue from his release in 2018, with the voice box now fully painted as it’s been given some added deco, including the red you see on the front. He also looks to have a darker black tone on the costume, and keeps his metallic black helmet, but the voice box is the biggest difference that’s easily notable for this release. The outfit is the same, including the plastic cape, skirt around the legs, and dark grey deco along with the black that rounds out his iconic look.  The sculpt also has some details such as the belt, which keeps the green and grey deco as the first release.

His articulation including a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel-hinged biceps, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed  hips, swivel-hinged knees, and swivel-hinged ankles.

Overall, the Star Wars Toy Box finally gets an Obi-Wan figure to join the ranks that’s been noticeably missing for quite sometime. Darth Vader remains a great sculpt in this line and the new deco on the voice box makes him look even more screen accurate, which the 2018 release didn’t offer. This is a great set to own, so make sure to grab it while you can.
