S.H. Figuarts Deadpool (Movie Version) Figure Review

“I know, right? You’re probably thinking, ‘Whose b***s did I have to fondle to get my very own movie?’ I can’t tell you his name, but it rhymes with ‘Polverine.’ And let me tell you, he’s got a nice pair of smooth criminals down under.”

Bandai Tamashii Nations/Bandai Collectibles newly released S.H. Figuarts Deadpool figure is based on his appearance in his live-action film series, which has already seen a sequel and a third movie coming in 2024, which will see Hugh Jackman reprise his iconic role as Wolverine. This figure pays a great tribute to his film likeness, with his iconic red and black outfit, and comes with an assortment of accessories including interchangeable hands, interchangeable eyes, and some weapons that includes Katana’s and a knife.

Thank you to Bandai Collectibles for sending along their S.H. Figuarts Deadpool (Movie Version) Figure for review.

Availability: October 2022

Deadpool is packaged in the standard S.H. Figuarts box, with movie inspired artwork along with images of the figure on the sides and back. Inside, he is packaged in a plastic tray, along with his accessories for safe keeping, and there’s a sheet of instructions behind the diorama backing.

Deadpool comes in his red and black costume, with sculpted details and textures on the red parts of the outfit, which gives it a realistic look. The red parts also have a black wash over it to make it look worn, which is a nice touch. Around his waist is a brown belt, a Deadpool logo belt buckle, pouches all around and metallic silver belt buckles and buttons. There’s also a harness on his chest, with a black strap and shoulder pad, a strap with pouches on his right leg, knee pads, a sheath for the knife on his left leg, and all of the great detail and articulation that you’re use to seeing in S.H. Figuarts.

Included are a large assortment of interchangeable parts, including 8 additional sets of interchangeable hands (assortment including open grip, closed fisted, thumbs up and various other options), 3 additional sets of interchangeable eyes, a tool to swap out the eyes from the head, a knife and holster, an additional knife that is non-removable from the holster, Scabbard with 2 hilts that are removable, and 2 Katana’s. It should be noted that he does not come with any guns, but does have a set of trigger finger hands that may be compatible with guns from other figures, including those in the S.H. Figuarts line.

Deadpool also features all of the articulation that you’ll be used too in the S.H. Figuarts line. Including a ball jointed head, butterfly shoulders, swivel-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso x2 (top and bottom), ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel-hinged and rocker ankles and hinged toes.

Overall, Deadpool is phenomenal and a great representation of his movie appearance that you need to own. The suit is amazingly detailed with some great sculpting, especially in the belt, and the interchangeable parts, including the eyes make this a lot of fun to pose and display. This is a Deadpool figure that you need to own!
