NECA Toys are offering some new halloween themed Toony Terrors figures, including the Sanderson Sisters from 1993’s Hocus Pocus, and the Trick ‘r Treaters from 1982’s Halloween III: Season of the Witch. These are stylized in a cartoon format, with limited points of articulation and some bright colors.

Each set is packaged in a window box, with nicely done artwork and images. Hocus Pocus has movie-inspired artwork and logo’s on the front, top, images on the sides and back. The Trick ‘r Treaters have the Toony Terrors style artwork, with images also on all sides.
The Hocus Pocus set comes with Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson, all in their outfits from the 1993 film, in their outfits from 1693. The paint applications are nicely done, with wrinkled skirts, sculpted details including pockets and strings that are tied, and necklaces. The figures are on the bulky side in the hips and legs, allowing them to stand easily, while the torso’s at least for Wini and Sarah are thinner. The head sculpts features great likenesses of the actresses, including sculpted hair, and paint applications on the eyes, eye brows, and mouth.
The articulation for each includes a ball jointed head, and swivel shoulders.
The Trick ‘r Treaters includes the witch, the skeleton, and the jack-o-lantern, each including a bag that they can hold. The masks are all nicely sculpted and painted, and given facial details including black eyes, nose and mouths. The outfits are cast in black, with the pumpkin given blue pants and white shoes, the Skeleton given painted details on the front, and the witch an orange cape on the inside, and a green mask. On the back of the masks, the three leaf clover logo is in black, in green and white.
he articulation on these are also limited, with ball jointed heads, swivel shoulders, and swivel ankles (the skeleton has ball jointed ankles).
Overall, these box sets are excellent offerings with great assortment of characters, likenesses and details, all of which you need to add to your collection. These characters make great additions to the line, and it’s a fun way to offer these characters. Make sure to get these now, and you can find these at the stores listed below:
