NECA Toys is now offering their Toony Terrors An American Werewolf in London Jack and the Kessler Wolf Two-Pack that is inspired from the 1981 An American Werewolf In London film. In the film, David Kessler is the only survivor of a wolf attack that had killed his friend Jack, but then Jack returns as an Undead Jack to warn David that he will transform into a murderous beast. These figures are given the Toony Terrors treatment, which are stylized in a cartoon format, with limited points of articulation and some bright colors.

Jack and the Kessler Wolf are packaged in a window box with artwork offered in the Toony Terrors line, along with images of the figures on the sides, additional images on the back along with a description. They come packaged in a plastic tray securely in place with ties.
Toony Terrors is NECA’s friendly cartoonish take on many classic horror films and characters, and An American Werewolf in London is a perfect example how these characters can be re-imagined in this style. In the film, Jack gets torn apart by the same werewolf that turned Kessler, and this figure depicts his zombie-like appearance, with grey skin, and blood dripping down his clothing as his jacket is all torn up. The head sculpt is the best part about this figure, capturing that zombie-like appearance, with the details on the eyes and mouth.
Jack’s articulation includes a ball jointed head, and swivel arms.
Kessler is the werewolf, and he comes fully sculpted with fur, along with a very big mean looking head with teeth snarling and his fangs, and glaring eyes. He comes painted in dark brown fut, with white on his face, and painted claws and teeth. His articulation includes a ball jointed head, and swivel hips at the front only.
Overall, this is a phenomenal Toony Terrors set and fits in nicely with what this line is all about. This friendly cartoonish take on these characters is a refreshing way to offer these characters in a format you never thought you’d see, and this is surely something that horror fans would want to check out.
