The Last Ronin (Armored) figures comes in a window box packaging, with beautifully done artwork inspired from the comic series, images of the character on both sides, images of the figure and comic panels with a look at the figure on the back.

The armored version is fully covered with padded jacket, pants, shoulder pads, knee pads, shin pads, and gauntlets. Sculpted around his waist is a belt with pouches and holsters for several weapons, and a ring on his back that’s connected to a piece of string, with two pouches for the bo staff and the katana. The feet have sandals sculpted on with armor on the top of the foot, and the head includes a hood that works with both of these sculpts, or it can be swapped out with a bandana.

The goggles can also be placed on either of the heads, and connect with an elastic band around the back of the head.

The bo staff and katana connect to the holsters on the ring, as mentioned above, and the nunchucks fit on the back and the sai on the front. The katana comes with a sheath that fits in the holster, and everything is securely in place.

The Armored version comes with a katana with sheathe, a sai, a nunchuck, bo staff, four ninja stars, a grenade, a pair of goggles, a removeable hood, a claw on a rope/string, a tonfa (this looks like a nightstick), two interchangeable head sculpts (yelling and gritted teeth), two bandana parts, three sets of hands (fists, grip, and open).

The ninja stars, and grenade can both fit into his open grip hands (it’s best to heat them up first with a hair dryer).

The katana is given a metallic silver blade that can be placed in one or both open grip hands, and the claw on a rope can’t actually connect to something, but does make a fun accessory.

The sais, nunchuck and tonfu are the same one’s offered between the unarmored and armored versions of the figure, and the metallic paint on the said and chainlink makes these shine. The tonfu is a rather unusual weapon for a turtle, and looks like a thick metal club that can do some damage.

The articulation for the Last Ronin is standard for the Ultimate line, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double hinged knees, swivel and hinged ankles.

Overall, the Last Ronin is an excellentl figure that fits in perfectly in the turtles line, and pays a great likeness and attention to detail to the source material. This is surely a character you’d want to add to your growing NECA Turtles collection.
