The Last Ronin figures comes in a window box packaging, with beautifully done artwork inspired from the comic series, images of the character on both sides, images of the figure and comic panels with a look at the figure on the back.

This is the unarmored version and comes shirtless, and you see the shell on his back and the chest. Some of the same tooling is shared with the armored version, and they share the same forearms, skirt, belts, legs and feet. The biggest difference between these two first offerings lines in the chest and head sculpt, and the armored and unarmored (or shirtless) versions almost look like two completely different turtle characters, but if you read the comic you’d know that this is sadly not the case. The feet have sandals sculpted on with armor on the top of the foot, and the heads have two unique expressions, and both have the black bandana.

The unarmored version comes with interchangeable hands (closed fisted, open grip, open chop, and one pointy finger left hand), Splinter’s diary, a sai, a broken katana, four tiny knives, a nunchaku, two heads (closed mouth, and slightly open mouth), a metal tonfa, and a futuristic mouser.

Some of the accessories are the same as the Unarmored version, including the metal tonfa, sai and nunchucks, while the katana is new as it’s shattered at the blade, as well as the tiny knives and Splinter’s diary.

The articulation for the Last Ronin is standard for the Ultimate line, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double hinged knees, swivel and hinged ankles.

The futuristic mouser is a non-articulated figure, that looks like a bull dog with the shape and size. On the side he is numbered as M112 (the M standing for Mouser), and he is primarily white, with black and red deco.

Overall, the Last Ronin is an excellentl figure that fits in perfectly in the turtles line, and pays a great likeness and attention to detail to the source material. This is surely a character you’d want to add to your growing NECA Turtles collection.
