NECA Toys are now offering their Universal Monsters Ultimate Invisible Man Figure. The Invisible Man is based on the classic 1933 film starring Claude Rains, and from the H.G. Wells novel and it received critical acclaim, eventually being placed on the U.S. National Film Registry for its historical significance.

The Invisible Man is packaged on a window box with an opening flap, with artwork inspired from the film, including images of the figure on the sides, and back. Also on the back is a list of the accessories, and the opening flap features another image of him, and in the box he comes in a plastic tray for safe keeping. The back of the box also has some wear and tear figured in the artwork, and this makes it look worn and used, which is a nice touch.
The Invisible Man comes in a dark blue blazer, grey pants, black dress shoes, light brown gloves, a white dress shirt, light blue tie, a white handkerchief, and white bandages wrapped around his head, along with non-removable goggles and a fake nose. The likeness to how he looked on screen came out remarkably great, as we’ve seen them achieve this time and time again. The clothing includes sculpted wrinkles, especially on the blazer, and the bandages have a slight sculpted texture, with fake hair poking through.
Included with Invisible Man are two head sculpts, five additional interchangeable hands, a notebook, a cup with a straw that has the serum inside, 3x noses, and goggles. The hands come with two brown gloves, and five light brown gloves. The noses also cannot be placed on the head without the nose, and only used for decorative purposes on a desk.
All three of the head sculpts look great, and each one wrapped in bandages with hair poking through. The goggles can be placed on either one of the head sculpts without it. There is also the option to pose him without a head or hands, given at how he’s invisible and all.
Also included is the cup with serum, a notebook with the formula written in, with black ink and a green cover.
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball jointed neck, ball hinged shoulders, hinged-swivel biceps, swivel-hinged wrists, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, hinged-swivel knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, the Invisible Man is long overdue to get a figure that looks like this and this is surely going to be remembered by fans that have waited years for this. This is the definitive version that you need to own, and fits in great with the growing Universal Monsters collection.
