Hasbro’s Marvel Legends Monet St. Croix and Chamber figures are based on their appearances in Generation X, a spin-off comic series that’s part of the X-Men. This wave offers a great assortment of characters that have some first-time appearances in the Marvel Legends line, despite its 21 year run. Also included is Corsair, the father of Scott and Alex Summers, and leader of the Starjammers. Also included are Fang, Astonishing X-Men Cyclops, Emma Frost, and Ch’od of the Starjammers as the build-a-figure.

Monet St. Croix and Chamber are each packaged in a the standard Marvel Legends box, which is plastic-less but does show off images of the figures inside, images on the sides, a look at Ch’od and which figures come with the part to build him, and images of the figures and their accessories on the back. This packaging has been quite controversial amongst fans and collectors, and the biggest concern has been you cannot see what’s inside, allowing concerns about theft of the inside contents, which has been going on if you buy these at brick and mortar. Online retailers such as Entertainment Earth you don’t need to worry about that segment. Interestedly enough, Hasbro is bringing back plastic to the packaging, which is worse for the environment, but better for collectors.
Monet St. Croix comes in her Generation X outfit, with a red outfit, gold zipper with the X, gold boots and gauntlets, with the gauntlets having the X-Men logo by the wrist. She also has a gold, red and X-Men logo belt that is blue with a black X, which is loose fitting around her waist. Her head sculpt includes nicely done facial details, including paint applications on the lips and eyes, and she includes long black sculpted hair.
She includes the left leg for Ch’od, and two sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted and open hands).
She is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ball jointed torso, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, hinged and rocker ankles.
Chamber also comes in his Generation X outfit, which is mostly a black outfit, with a black jacket with silver zipper and belt buckle, HIs head sculpt HIs head sculpt has some great facial details, especially the eyes, and sculpted brown hair. Around his head showcases his mutant powers, which he has the ability to cast energy blasts from his chest, and his mouth and lower parts of the head have been permanently replaced by the flames.
Included with Chamber is the left arm for Ch’od, and two sets of interchangeable hands (closed fisted and open hands).
He is also fully articulated, and includes a ball jointed head, ball hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, double-hinged elbows, swivel-hinged wrists, ab crunch, swivel waist, ball jointed hips, swivel thighs, double-hinged knees, swivel calves, hinged and rocker ankles.
Overall, It’s always a crowd pleaser to see more X-Men characters, and Monet St. Croix and Chamber are two essential parts of the collection, and some long overdue character especially for Generation X fans. This wave surely offers a great mix of characters from various teams, which is something you don’t normally see in Marvel Legends, and hopefully will see more of these teams going forward. I personally want all of, at least the one’s that make the most sense of The Shi’ar Royal Guard, Generation X and especially the Starjammers.
